We all had a great time ; especially our granddaughters. James and Marty are excellent hosts. They took the time introduce all the animals to our granddaughters including the goats, chickens, turkey, rabbits and peacocks. The girls got to hold and feed a baby peacock.
The accommodations were perfect for us. Thanks for the goat milk for Susan’s coffee. We highly recommend staying at the Byrd’s Nest.

This was actually our second time staying here. It’s such an amazing place to stay and the hosts are so kind and helpful. There are so many animals you have access to for the kiddos and adults who also like holding baby goats in the spring. The property and house are beautiful and well maintained. I highly recommend this place, especially for families.

We all had a really wonderful time. I brought my 4 grandchildren to the farm and stayed in the chicken coop. James and Marty were absolutely wonderful with the kids- the kids gathered eggs, held a 3day old goat, baby bunnies, baby chicks, were amazed by the huge turkeys, pot bellied pig, peacocks, fed the catfish, ran across a row of round hay lined up ( about a million times...) flew some kites, picked up and cracked pecans and 4 dogs followed them wherever they went. It was a memory none of us will forget! Marty gave us a s’more cake and James made us a campfire... we cannot thank them enough for their hospitality. Wonderful time. Everything you need, right down to a warm out door shower!
