About this house rental
Relax with the whole family at this peaceful ranch house on 50 beautiful acres. Enjoy your morning coffee on the back patio with a serene view of our longhorn roaming the grounds. For a unique experience, climb Longhorn Lookout and enjoy an unobstructed aerial view of the property. With a quaint winery just 7 minutes down the road, you’ll have no problem filling your time away from home! Check out Splashway Water Park for more fun family adventures during your stay.
The space
The house is situated on 50 acres of land, including a small pond. Our Longhorn Lookout tower is one of our favorite aspects of the property. Take a climb and check out the area from one of 3 observation decks. There are also several indoor and outdoor games for your enjoyment! Entertain yourself with ring catch or bag toss while you grill your dinner on the sprawling back deck, or relax inside with a cold drink and a deck of cards or Dominoes. The kids also have an array of toys and books in the loft! There’s something for everyone at the ranch.
Guest access
Enjoy unlimited access to the entire property. We ask that children under 12 years old do not climb the tower for safety considerations.
Other things to note
There are several longhorn cows and horses roaming the property outside the fence surrounding the house. We ask that you do not attempt to approach them, as they are ranch animals and not pets. Feel free to photograph them from a safe distance!
This is a rural area and an older house, so sometimes the doors stick and the floors creak! We have the house regularly treated for pests, but we can’t guarantee there won’t be an insect or 2.
The wifi is MAX speed 25 mbps, which is not fast, especially with multiple devices connected. You’re able to stream shows/movies on the smart TV, but it may take some time to load. We encourage you to use this time to unplug and enjoy a time of peace, conversation, and tranquility in the beautiful countryside!

This was the perfect little home for our weekend wedding trip! We had everything we needed! Loved the beautiful evenings on the back deck and the cool mornings on the front patio watching the longhorns. Hook'em!!

What a peaceful, beautiful location out in the country! We had ages 17-65 staying, and everyone loved it. The scenery was lovely, and longhorns and horses were nearby the entire time, which added the best ambiance to the whole setting. The house is a really cute old farm house that has been nicely renovated and decorated. The upstairs loft is perfect for kids. The two twins beds are next to each other with the larger sized bed in a separate nook about 20 feet away, so even though they share a space—there is some privacy. We rarely had the TV on and spent much of our time playing games at the table, walking the property, and sitting on the porch (which was my favorite). Even in June, the porch had a nice breeze, and we were comfortable sitting out there for hours. Seamless check in and check out, and responsive, friendly owners. I was there (from DFW) for a wedding, but plan to go back just because we loved it so much.
