Small Guest House Koh Kood

Comfortable charming and rustic bungalows with all the basic amenities. The father and daughter hosts were amazing and friendly. Location wise, it is close to Ao Salad pier in the forested interior. For the nearest beach, you might have to hire/rent car or motorcycle. Theoretically, you can walk to a nearest beach for 20 minutes. But consider the hot and humid weather with some inclines!

It is rustic and in the forest (by the main road). So you get the usual weather and age related wears and tears. But rooms are clean and all the basic amenities are there. Hosts could be a little more pro-active in asking / offering breakfast. During our stay, unless you ask, you will get just cookies and coffee/tea. We were able to cook some eggs in the kitchen and some pineapple but we had to ask what's there.

We had the best stay here. Excellent breakfast. The staff and the owner are so helpful and friendly. We will always come back here. We highly recommend this place.

The owner and her staff were exceptionally welcoming, kind and helpful often anticipating our needs (I showed up at the restaurant with my computer and before I could sit they were plugging an extension chord for me so I could reach the outlet!). The a la carte breakfast included in our rate was abundant and delicious and included eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, yogurt, bread, Jam, cookies, Tea and Coffe. It was delightful to get up to such a meal which often made lunch superfluous. The AC is quiet and efficient.

As everyone else point out the bed is very firm. But that did not bother me. What I feel should be improved is the bedding. There is only a fitted sheet covering the mattress but no upper sheet. So you end up covering yourself with a few old blankets, not of the best quality. I would recommend the owner to purchase a light comforter + cotton duvet set for each bedroom. They are inexpensive and would dramatically improve guest comfort. The area in front of the bungalows is somewhat scruffy.

Lovely little guesthouse with comfortable clean bungalows, everything you need. And the breakfast!! Best breakfast we’ve had anywhere in Thailand, made fresh to order. Would highly recommend.
