Gorgeous home in a great location! Would come back again!!

Beautiful and quiet location! The house was spacious and had everything we needed.

There is no curtain on the peekaboo window from the master bedroom to the stairs so anyone on the stairs can look into the master bedroom and see what you’re doing. It can make it awkward with having teenagers in the house!

Beautiful family and pet friendly home

Everything was perfect!!! Stephan made us feel at home right away and made sure we were settled in. He provided a nice fruit basket, drinks, and treats, which was such a wonderful gesture! Plus, a cute welcome sign. My kids loved the visits from the peacocks and ducks. The home is gorgeous with a beautiful view out the back. It was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was nice and had pretty much everything you need. Location was also perfect for us. Beach, city, and windmills were close, and depending on traffic, amsterdam was about 35 min away. Would HIGHLY recommend for anyone

Nothing. However, please note that the stairs are a tad steep to get upstairs. So, if you have small children or a disability that makes it difficult to walk upstairs, keep this in mind. Also, there is no microwave. Would be nice but defiently not a deal breaker. There's plenty of things you can use to warm food on the stove or oven

We had an enjoyable week at the Lakehouse. It's a nice home and the host was very accomodating.

Enjoyed the friendliness and genuine care from the host--Stephen is a great guy and stocks the home well. The fruit and bottle of wine are a nice touch. The home is cozy and comfortable and we found the location to be ideal for our planned visits with family. Access to the house, the location on the water, and the comfortable availability of parking all made for a nice stay.

We had asked for and been granted early check-in but the host booked the home after our reservation and when we arrived there were still guests at the home. The host was very gracious about the mistake but it did present some problems for us as we were traveling internationally and were quite tired. Bird droppings cover the upstairs windows and detract from the feel of the home--windows could use attention on cleaning.

Exceptional

I had a perfect stay with my family for 5 days in this comfy home in a very quiet location, but still very close to Leiden and not that far from Amsterdam. There is a large garden, a view on the lake, a fireplace we enjoyed a lot, a bedroom with large windows and a view from the lake. Our host had the very nice attention to put some fruits, wine, fruit juice and even food for our cats. We felt home and we 100% recommend it !

Very good

The house is very clean and well equipped with almost everything needed. The garden and conservatory are wonderful but it was a little bit too cold for us to enjoy them at the end of October! We loved the location by the lake and surrounded by canals which gives a real feeling of being in the countryside but it's close enough to Leiden to take the train to Amsterdam for the day and not far from Den Haag, Haarlem etc.

The bathroom is looking a little bit dated now and could be upgraded. It's a small detail but a microwave would be a cheap but useful addition to the kitchen.

Comfortable, clean and modern interior.

Great host! Lovely house and garden with a very comfortable living room, modern kitchen. The master bedroom has a great view and the bed is very comfortable. The host even left us wine and juice as well as fruit and eggs! Very quiet surroundings near lake. Also had 2 smart tvs and good wifi.

Everything was great, but I didn't like the perfume smell of the sheets, but this is a personal preference.

Quiet, cozy, weekend stay

The open layout and big windows of the main floor and the bedroom made it a great cozy stay for this rainy weekend; still could enjoy the nature but from the comfort of this nice home. Great sound system. The fireplace was a nice bonus. Stephan, our host was friendly and helpful. Would stay here again!

Ausfall der Heizung in der ersten Nacht und nur kaltes Wasser. Nach der Fehlermeldung hat sich der Vermieter jedoch zeitnah um Behebung der Mängel gekümmert.

Schönes, großes Ferienhaus mit kleinen Mängeln

Garten, Wintergarten, Carport für zwei Autos, Kamin mit Holz, kleine reichliche Gimmiks (Obst, Wein, Saft...) Großzügige Raumaufteilung, hell und freundlich. Im Sommer bei schönem Wetter ist der große Garten bestimmt super.

Bad: schlecht beleuchtet, Möbel abgewohnt, nicht richtig sauber. Keine Sperre vor zu heißem Wasser (Verbrennungsgefahr). Trotz großzügigem Schnitt: 180 qm sehen wir hier nicht wirklich. Die Sauna ist sehr werbewirksam fotografiert: selbst für zwei schlanke Leute ist der Sitzplatz eng

Wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt

Das Haus liegt herrlich am Flusslauf und am angrenzenden See. Ausstattung, Gemütlichkeit, Wintergarten, Betten sind ein Traum. Wir haben den vorhandenen Grill mehrfach benutzt, an der Feuerstelle Marshmallows geröstet, ein Highlight für die Kids. Sehr Hilfsbereiter Eigentümer. Für uns war Alles perfekt. Wir werden wieder kommen.

Ein wunderbarer Kurzurlaub. Die Nordsee sehr nah und die Sehenswürdigkeiten gut erreichbar.

Ein schönes Häuschen in ruhiger Lage. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Der Garten ist schön, mit Zugang zum Wasser. Eine sehr nette Begrüßung des Vermieters. Ein großer Teller Obst, Nüsse, Wasser und Wein standen als Gastgeschenk bereit. Auch Fahrräder standen bereit.

Eine Dusche wäre schön. Das Einsteigen in die Badewanne für ältere Menschen schwierig.
