Le Clemenceau

If I had to highlight one thing about this appartment, it would definitely be its location. It is hard to beat: right in the heart of Antibes old town, on one of its most beautiful and lively streets. The main squares, the beach, Provençal market and Picasso Museum are all just a few minutes away on foot. The train station is also less than a 15 minute walk away, making it very easy to explore other towns and cities along the Côte d’Azur. Despite the lively surroundings, noise was never an issue. The apartment is very well soundproofed, and the living room window faces a quiet back street with virtually no traffic. The bedroom overlooks an inner courtyard, where we only heard other people on one occasion during our 10 night stay. The bed was comfortable and allowed us to rest well throughout our stay. The air conditioning is powerful and works very well, which is essential during the warmer months on the Côte d’Azur. I had seen some previous comments about the sofa, but the one shown in the older photos has now been replaced by a much larger and more comfortable one, with plenty of space for two people. Both the bathroom and kitchen are fully equipped and have been carefully renovated. Another highlight was the host, who was extremely friendly, responsive and easy to communicate with. Any questions we had during our stay were solved quickly, and both check-in and check-out were exceptionally simple and efficient. Overall, it is difficult to find better value in Antibes, especially considering the location.

There were only a couple of minor points that could be improved. We found a little beach sand on the floor when we arrived, and there were a few small improvements to the furniture that we mentioned directly to the host. However, these were very minor details and did not detract from what was a very positive stay. We would happily repeat our vacation here.

The apartment is small but well equipped, with everything you need for a short stay. It's ideal if you're travelling light and staying for a few days. Communication with the host was easy and efficient. The air conditioning was a real plus, and despite being right in the centre of everything, it was surprisingly quiet.

The apartment was tidy, but it could have been cleaner. There were no mosquito screens on the windows, byt the host mentioned he planned to address this. The lack of bedside tables was inconvenient. There isn't a practical place to dry beach towels or swimsuits after a day at the beach. The apartment has no view (it faces a backstreet), and on cloudy days it can feel quite dark inside.

The apartment was clean and had everything you could need. It was also right near all the shops and restaurants.

There was nothing we didn't like.
