Tucked into the hillside, this romantic island bungalow offers the best of St John. This newly remodeled, one-bedroom cottage located in the Great Cruz Bay, Chocolate Hole neighborhood. This quiet residential area is a perfect vacation base, just minutes from restaurants, beaches and shopping.
Bathed in natural light, this cozy island home has been completely reimagined with beautiful modern beach house furnishings and a sleek new kitchen, including custom cabinetry and stainless-steel appliances.
The perfect base for a couple, Rosebay boasts a king size bed in master with en-suite bath. An inviting great room beckons you to have a seat and take in the views from Hart Bay to Great Cruz Bay and beyond.
Enjoy making meals or preparing a beach lunch to go and dine in air-conditioned comfort while you delight in the ocean and garden vistas.
After a hard day at the beach, relax in the oversized chairs on your private covered deck, then soak in the hot tub and watch the sun go down and the stars come out.
Creature comforts and amenities include cable TV with premium programming and wireless internet access. Of course, full laundry access is on premises.
While Rosebay rents individually and is lushly landscaped for privacy, it is often rented for family reunions, weddings and retreats with its sister properties (Jasmine, Hawksbill and Periwinkle). In total, the four houses accommodate up to 16 people and are discreetly separated by stone paths lined with mature, aromatic flowering plants.

Perfect small cottage in great location above Cruz Bay with great views, newly renovated. Great communication with host, who met us at ferry dock and guided us to the rental; provided lots of information on beaches and tips on restaurants, etc.

Rosebay cottage was a great place to stay for 2 weeks on St John. We loved the outdoor area and we had a perfect spot to watch the sunset every night. Kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. We will definitely book again.

We enjoyed our week at Rosebay. Nice cottage, very clean, kitchen and shower are great. Bed very comfortable. Great view from the balcony.
I would make one observation, however. The only reason my rating is not a five star is that the sitting furniture in the living area is extremely uncomfortable. The couch and chair in the living room and the dining room chairs are just tough to sit in for any amount of time. Replace those and the place is perfect!
Also, the property does require a bit of a climb from driveway to the door of the cottage. It’s just where it sits in the topography of St. John. No problem for us, bit for guests with any mobility challenges, it would be difficult.
