About this house rental

A short distance from scuba diving, ecotours, and more, this smoke-free vacation home lets you experience it all. With convenient covered onsite parking, you'll be ready to make the 17-minute drive to Vrijthof or the 11-minute drive to Tongeren Flea Market.

Prepare a home-cooked meal in the kitchen, complete with an oven, a stovetop, and a refrigerator, as well as a coffee maker, an electric kettle, and a microwave. We had such a wonderful visit in this historic home. It was a beautiful area, safe, quiet, and peaceful. We walked twice to the nearby restaurant and enjoyed the fare there quite a lot. Be prepared for a very open shower, and perhaps bring non-skid mats if you have worries about slipping and falling.

We hebben een leuke vierdaagse beleefd in deze mooie gerenoveerde vakantiewoning gelegen op een soort van domein van een oude boerderij en vakwerkhuis. De woning werd met veel zorg gerestaureerd en gerenoveerd, diverse historische elementen werden behouden. De woning heeft alle comfort dat je nodig hebt, zoals goede matrassen in de slaapkamers, veel bergruimte, een comfortabele badkamer en keuken en nog een afzonderlijk toilet beneden buiten de badkamer. Het tuintje achteraan is gezellig en biedt leuke zitgelegenheid en voldoende privacy. Het verblijf is spic en span, dus onberispelijk proper. De gastheer heeft ons persoonlijk ontvangen en de nodige geschiedkundige uitleg verschaft, je merkt dat de gastheer gepassioneerd is door de streek en zijn geschiedenis, dat is zeker een belangrijke meerwaarde. In de omgeving kan je leuke wandelingen maken met ruime vergezichten, op korte auto-afstand liggen trekpleisters als het Fort van Eben-Emael, de Voerstreek, Haspengouw, Tongeren met zijn Gallo-Romeins Museum en ook het mooie Land van Herve is in de nabijheid evenals Maastricht en het Maasland. Toch twee kleine minpuntjes: het verblijf ligt vooraan aan een toch wel drukke weg, waar het verkeer zich vaak niet aan de snelheid houdt. Dat is dus wat oppassen. Uiteraard kan het verblijf hier zelf niets aan doen. Verder is er een systeem van vloerverwarming waar je als gast weinig vat op hebt, bij ons werd het vaak onaangenaam warm beneden waardoor we de deur moesten openzetten voor frisse lucht. Maar laat dat de pret niet bederven, algemeen is dit een zeer goed verblijf, nog beter dan de foto's op de site doen uitschijnen en prijs/kwaliteit een topper ! Doen dus !

Der Aufenthalt war super angenehm, die Ferienwohnung ist Spitze!!! Der Kontakt mit den Eigentümern war auch super unkompliziert und alles war hervorragend. Immer wieder eine Reise wert.
