About this house rental
Casa Rafael is a charming, second story, 2 bedroom, private apartment centrally located in the delightful village of San Pancho. It has a high palapa roof and open floorplan with a large balcony shaded by palms.
It’s well furnished with local art and comfortable places to relax.
It get’s lots of light and great air flow, with large windows and a wide open design.
Ceiling fans throughout, and AC in the bedrooms. There is a small, private and secluded heated pool, grill, outdoor kitchen and garden space in the back.
It’s located in the middle of town, 2-3 blocks from the beach, close to everything including restaurants, shops, cafes, and grocery stores in close proximity.
The kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals.
The beds are comfortable, with nice linens and bedding.
There is a washer/dryer available for use. Beach towels, umbrellas, chairs and boogie boards available to use.
There is a very private, tranquil backyard garden area with an outdoor kitchen, BBQ grill, and a small heated pool and outdoor shower.

Settled right in. Enjoyed connecting with localsFrom coffee cafe next door to the taxi drivers in the front. And the local wild life, birds and squirrels. We were very comfortable and happy.

We fell in love with this palapa in five days. It was exactly as expected from the VRBO photos and we loved the openness and authentic Mexican design. The veranda was our favorite spot. We enjoyed sitting there in the mornings and watching the town wake up. The cafe next door has great sweet breads and cookies. Evenings were noisy, it took one day to get used to it but then we embraced the action and livelyness. The wifi is strong and we had no problem streaming. The kitchen was well appointed, ice cube trays, blender, some spices, etc. We didn't cook much, rather snacks but you could easily prepare a meal. The bedroom was small but comfortable and had a ceiling fan. We used the white noise machine and wore ear plugs which blocked out the street and bar noise. The beach is a short 5-minute walk down the street filled with restaurants and shops. We dipped in the small private pool each afternoon. Laura was great to work with, and even shared info about a turtle release which was fabulous to experience. I highly recommend this vacation rental.

A beautiful place in the heart of San Pancho. Hard to say what this place once was or what the town looked at even a decade ago But we were in the middle of a incredibly charming busy street straight from Madrid. The glorious cavernous environment was a joy to be in: the great kitchen and cozy bedroom, The living room was beautiful, and with a deck overlooking the street
