The Green Jungle

We are currently on a tour of Sri Lanka and have stayed in several hotels, but this one was truly top-notch and comes with our highest recommendation. Our hosts were incredibly warm and attentive, always available for us, and gave us an amazing number of tips—they even accompanied us to a viewpoint. There was hot water with good pressure, a fan and mosquito net, and a fabulous breakfast… not a single wish went unfulfilled. We are extremely grateful that we had the chance to stay here.

This was a lovely place to stay, made truly special by the wonderful family who owns it. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed, and their kindness and warmth stayed with me throughout my visit. The location is incredibly convenient, perfectly situated between Sigiriya and Dambulla, making it an ideal base for exploring the area without long travel times. The host was exceptionally helpful — always ready with advice, directions, and thoughtful recommendations, and clearly cared about making my stay comfortable and easy. I’m very grateful for the hospitality and would happily recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Incredible stay with an amazing host. Room is very comfortable and a good size with beautiful surroundings. Nuwan the host did so much to help us and make our stay perfect. The food cooked by his family was delicious and generous size. He helped organise trips and even took us to some secret spots in his tuktuk for sunset. Can’t recommend enough, you should definitely stay here.

The green jungle provides peaceful accomodation in beautiful jungle garden. Host Nuwan is very kind and very helpful and treated us like family. They helped us to arrange every trip, picked us up at bus stop or drove us to and from see sights. Nuwan's wife prepared for us delicious and clean homemade food. We definitely recommend this this accomodation.
