Stayed at Cottage while exploring Zion and Bryce Canyons. Especially liked the remote location of the cottage more than a mile down a dirt road and half-way between Zion & Bryce. View of stars at night was remarkable. Great place for a couple. Comfortable bed with clean linens. Adequately stocked kitchen allowed us to enjoy breakfast each morning and cook meals every night. Only downside was bedroom on second floor and bathroom on first floor with stairs at opposite end of cottage meant a long walk when waking in middle of night to nature's call. Washer-dryer in cottage meant we traveled home with clean clothes. Fast and reliable WiFi. Used big screen TV each evening to watch photos and videos we had taken that day.

A nice, quiet, very functional place. Good water pressure in the shower. Large beds, including the bunk bed. Apple TV worked well and the couches were large and cushy. Stars were beautiful at night. Some very friendly dogs running around the broader property. Only recommendations are finicky kitchen related stuff: would be nice to have spare garbage bags under the sink and a sponge with a scrubby side so I could do a better job on the dishes. One of the kitchen cabinet doors was already broken as well.

The cottage was cozy, clean and warm. It was a bit tricky to find and there was no cell service so it was not possible to call to ask for directions. Location was very convenient for Bryce and Zion. Stars were amazing at night.

Great location to visit Zion and Bryce from! Hosts were so nice and helpful!

Location was great if you plan to visit Bryce and Zion NPs, beds were comfortable, and kitchen has all basic necessities. The owner was very responsive and pleasant when communicating with us. Tiny suggestion though - to add command hooks on bathroom door and master bedroom door, and provide a couple of throws. On warmer side.

We loved our time here! The host was responsive and welcoming. Everything you need in the kitchen, and around the cottage was clean. There were friendly dogs living nearby who came to say hi frequently, we loved it! My husband and kids enjoyed fishing in the private pond after a long day of hiking.
We would gladly stay there again!

Overall we had a great stay Mercy was able to respond to most of our needs and we appreciated that. Loved the quiet road with lots of trees! Was great to access both Zion and Bryce Canyon. Cute place worked great for our family.

The cottage was clean and had all necessities. There is plenty of space inside. The outdoor space is much more limited. For our purposes, it was a great place to land between national parks. We had a few snafus, but the host was very responsive (frankly, that’s a positive for me because things happen, and it’s more important how a host responds than that something didn’t go as planned).

We had a great stay at the cozy cottage! There were plenty of beds, a nice living room and kitchen, fast wifi, and it was located well for visiting the parks.

The cottage was very comfortable and had everything I needed. Very quiet area and was exactly what I needed after days of hiking in the nearby parks.

This was a perfect Zion Getaway. It was an easy drive to Zion National Park. The cabin was quiet, clean, and fully stocked with everything we needed...plus more. It was comfortable and private. We loved the area with it's access to so many things, and yet it was remote enough that we didn't get the noise of being on the main road or in a crowded campsite. We were so lucky to have found this hidden gem.

The cottage was perfect for our 4 day trip to visit Zion and Bryce. We were able to get easily to and from both parks. We had an issue with an outlet the first night and Hal and Marcy were there within 10 minutes to get everything fixed. While there is another cottage nearby it was always quiet and peaceful every night.

Loved the location - enabled to drive 1-2 hours in any direction and get to numerous national and state parks, and other explorations. While weather was tough with rain and snow, making ingress/egress an adventure, it all worked out. Mercy was responsive and helpful with making sure we could get in an out and was flexible with our departure in the midst of a snowstorm. The cottage is comfortable, and we had all the supplies we needed for our stay. Great place - hope to return in the future.

Great place to stay for visiting both Zion and Bryce equally. Hosts were great! Our baby made a mark on the kit hen table and they were very understanding and easy to talk to about it. Would stay again.

My wife and i enjoyed our stay here while visiting Bryce Canyon, Zion, and North Rim of Grand Canyon. The cottage was very clean and well stocked with towels, linens, and kitchen essentials. It is a bit off the beaten path on a dirt road which made it a great quiet place to relax after a day of hiking and sightseeing. Having the washer and dryer there was great, especially after the day we got really dirty doing the full day ATV tour. There was only one small hiccup one night when the water pump went out, but our hosts were right on it and got it back on line in short order. All in all a great little getaway cottage.

This was the perfect place for us to stay. Very quiet, remote location next to a small stream. Cottage was very clean and nicely decorated.

It was a great location for Zion, Bryce, and Kanab. The place was clean and comfy. Great little kitchen and we grilled burgers. It was really really hot outside so the a/c struggled to keep the master bedroom cold enough. I’d suggest the owner get one more a/c unit. Otherwise it was great. Thanks

Beautiful and comfortable
This is a lovely home in a quiet place in the woods located half way between Bryce and Zion. We loved it. Good TV and Internet. Very comfortable. Beautiful outdoor areas, barbeque. Two quirks. 1. On hot summer nights, the bedrooms (upstairs) did not cool down. 2. The entrance to one of the bedrooms is through another one.

great location for visiting Zion and Bryce
If you want to spend time at both Zion and Bryce canyons, this property is situation about 1 hour from each. The cabin has a nice rustic feel and was big enough for myself, my wife, my son and daughter in law - although a 2nd bathroom would have been a plus. I also planned to do some star gazing and found some of the darkest skies I've ever seen in a meadow just a short walk up the road. We all enjoyed the quiet and isolation. The back deck was a real plus for communing with nature.

Wonderful location!
Our family stayed here for several days while visiting the nearby National Parks and attractions. It was amazing! The cabin was clean, quiet, and just as described. Mercy and Hal are gracious hosts. We also did the horseback riding experience that they offer, and it was amazing - our girls had an awesome time. We highly recommend both staying at the property and taking advantage of the other activities they offer!

Great Stay Between Zion and Bryce
This was a perfect landing spot between Zion and Bryce Canyon. Be sure to print screen the information before you get there as we did not have cell service in the canyon (but once you get there - there is great Wi-Fi). Comfortable beds and clean. Would certainly stay again!

Picturesque getaway between Zion and Bryce
The cottage was a perfect home-base for our family’s trip to Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. About equal distance between both parks, this cottage has all the basic amenities that we needed for our four day stay, but with a cozy vibe! We enjoyed our stay very much. If we had had more time we would’ve loved to partake in the horseback riding and fishing opportunities there on the property.

Zion and Bryce Canyon adventure - central location
Lydia's Canyon Cottage is a great location in between Bryce Canyon and Zion NPs. The cottage is very clear and comfortable. My kids loved sleeping up in the loft area and having the cozy living room to relax in after exploring all day. The Stouts are very wonderful hosts who answer messages quickly. The check out directions were clear and concise. This was our first VRBO experience and I was very pleased! This is a perfect cottage for families who want some quiet, relaxation after outdoors adventures during the day.

Spring Break stay
Small cottage with everything you need. It was a bit farther off the beaten path than we anticipated, but it was all good. We were lacking enough washcloths and I emailed Mercy and she had washcloths to me by the next day. Very quiet, beautiful area.

Close to parks
The location is ideal for visiting both Bryce and Zion National Parks. We had heavy snow the week we were there, the last week in December. All wheel drive or chains definitely needed during snowstorms, particularly up Lydia Canyon Road and up driveway road to cabins. There are several cabins on the property and we were able to rent two in order to accommodate extended family.

Simple Pleasures
One of our favorite parts of this place was the drive down Lydia's Canyon Road and seeing the owner's beautiful horses out in the pasture. It is tucked away in a wooded area and so peaceful and quiet.

Nice clean and functional cabin
Clean and well stocked cabin. often rough road in and out, steep stairs to 2 upstairs bedrooms with 1 bathroom downstairs. It is a decision for visitors to stay in one place and have longer drives to parks or move from place to place - a matter of more miles over the convenience of not relocating for each move. We enjoyed our time here.

Zion and Bryce weekend
Stayed here to visit Zion and Bryce. Great location in between both. Didn’t get information on checking in - had to contact host, but they were quick to respond. Very quiet location, but definitely need to have more than a sedan to reach it - 1.5 miles of dirt road. Inside was cute, but outside could use some cleaning up. Overall good stay.

This was the perfect location for visiting Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. We enjoyed the quiet, secluded location of the cottage, its coziness and all the amenities it provided. Stargazing at night was amazing. It was difficult to find at 10:30 at night (go another tenth of a mile after you see the sign for Crossroads), but well worth it. We were sad to leave when our six days were up. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us.

Great home base for exploring the parks
Great property with even more potential. Easy drive to Zion and Bryce. Beautiful scenery all around. Hosts were communicative, and the beds and furniture were comfortable. Our 11 and 15 year old boys loved it. Mostly just what was needed. Beautiful setting. Grill and back porch were great but landscaping/patio could use some tlc. Could also really use a second AC unit for the upstairs, and a few more kitchen dishes including a cookie sheet/pizza pan, pizza cutter and some kitchen wash cloths.
