Center Gradec Apartment

It was a cozy place, cute kitchen with everything we needed, little fridge that came with a Kefir, clean bathroom/shower, easy to get the keys and leave them

It was very dark by the entrance of the apartment, when coming in through the red front door some light turn on in the hallway but at the end closer to the apartment there were no automatic lights, thats all

Great location - yes, it is up a hill so you will need to be able to climb a fair few stairs (the furnicular was not available due to construction works when I was there). The actual location is excellent though - 1 block from the broken relationships museum and 2 blocks from St Mark's Cathedral - the rest of the city was walkable and I loved the fact that I was walking through the Ban Jelacic Square every time I went anywhere. Great bars and restaurants nearby too - Valhalla and Bunt are very close if you like craft beer, Dolac Market and Tkalčićeva street also very close. Transport was all down in the lower town but very convenient. The room is comfortable and spacious. It was very quiet at night, with some construction during the day - but this is everywhere in Zagreb because they're fixing things after the earthquake in 2020. I didn't use the kitchen but it looked clean - the bathroom and toilet were both clean and so was the bed.

Couple of quirks - they didn't affect my stay but things the owner could focus on. There was a mild smell in the bathroom, coming from one of the drains I think - it only smelled when you were in the bathroom and wasn't unbearable, just would have been nicer if it wasn't there. The wifi router needed to be reset when I arrived - after that it worked perfectly, but it was high up above a cupboard so I had to climb up on a stool to reset it. The lights on the modem were kind of bright at night too but I travel with an eye mask (for this reason), so do the same if this will bother you.

Overall, it was a cozy and comfortable apartment. The bathroom, kitchen, and bed were all excellent, making the stay very enjoyable.

I wasn’t a big fan of the location since there were quite a lot of stairs, but it wasn’t too bad overall. The Wi-Fi was sometimes unreliable, and the TV couldn’t connect to it, which was a bit inconvenient.

Very easy to get keys, easy to find apartment, right in old town, ok price, ok wifi, clean, everything was just ok. ok. ok. ok. ok. just filling space here.
