About this house rental
Ideally located on a 5 acres with 350 feet of white-sand beach yet only 2 miles from town. The villa has two floors with a wrap around deck on each. On the ground floor, there are three bedroom suites, each with a private bath along with a comfortable breezeway and easy access to the pool. Upstairs includes the common living areas and kitchen as well as another master suite. The splendid terrace overlooks the beach on one side and the pristine jungle and Maya mountains on the other. Here you can relax and enjoy the cool ocean breezes as you sip your morning coffee.
With 5 acres and over 350 feet of beach, there is an amazing quiet and privacy. With only 1/2 mile to the airstrip and 2 miles to town you have the convenience to readily visit the many unique restaurants and attractions of Placencia and its famous central sidewalk.
Top Reasons to rent Villa Ranguana instead of other Placencia properties:
1. 350 ft of beach: lots of white sand beach, great shallow swimming beach for the kids, a few coral heads for snorkeling - hands down the best beach of any home available for rent in Placencia
2. Cooling ocean breezes - beach side location means natural ocean breezes keep you cooler than the lagoon side - and most importantly keep away the bug problems lagoon side homes may suffer
3. 5 acres of privacy: plenty of privacy that you will not enjoy in homes located closer to the village - and the property is deep enough that there is not the road noise that can be so common for homes up north along Placencia road
4. Best location - only 2 miles from town means easy access to Tutti Frutti for your daily gelato fix, and easy access to the dozens of quality restaurants, shops, groceries, tours and activities of Placencia Village - many other properties further north (e.g. Maya beach or the Plantation) can mean a 30 to 40 minute drive to the village
5. Wrap-around, shaded deck makes it easy to relax and watch over the kids playing in the pool or out in the ocean

The villa is only rented as an entire unit. Guests have access to the entire villa and the surrounding grounds including pool, beach and gardens.

Each of the 4 master suites are individually air-conditioned for sleeping comfort.
Owners have recently made available Casa Ranguana, which is a 2 bedroom house next door, that can be rented in conjunction with the Villa for large groups. VRBO listing 3025760.
About reviews: The property has been available for rent for many years and has consistently received stellar reviews. For 2016 through 2019 - a separate company rented the property for 40 weeks a year and filled it with their private clients. Very few of those booking came through VRBO, and as a result most the reviews from those clients are not available here on VRBO. Additional reviews can be seen on google or on other rental platforms.
Getting to Villa Ranguana: we are located about half a mile from the Placencia Airstrip. From the US - most people fly into Belize City (about 2-3 hr flight from Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, Miami or 5 hr from Los Angeles). From Belize City there are 3 options: 1. a 20 minute local flight on Maya or Tropic Air to Placencia airstrip, 2. you can rent a vehicle and drive down to Placencia from Belize City which takes about 2-3 hours or 3. we can recommend a driver to transfer you down.
Private chef available for some or all meals at an additional cost.
Property has received Belize's Gold Standard Certification allowing for travel during Covid times.

Everything about our stay was excellent! Villa Ranguana certainly exceeded our expectations. From our arrival, the beautiful private villa, the beach and pool, the great service from Albert and Francee, and our chef Nelson and Nancy and their fine meals, we are most thankful for the experience.

Our group of 8 stayed at Villa Ranguana in January 2026. We found the location and accommodations to be well appointed and as advertised to handle a large family with children. Our kiddos are ages 4-12. The private beach was very clean and accessible for the kids to swim, as was having the pool available for swimming and lounging. Chef Nelson is a must! He prepared wonderful meals each day and left the kitchen and dishes clean after each meal. Albert was very helpful in arranging for local tours which we enjoyed both inland and at sea. We rented a golf cart which was delivered to the property on the day of our arrival. It was very convenient and safe to take the golf cart into Placencia to explore the town and go out for meals.

We enjoyed everything about this property. It’s close to everything and the chef option is a must. The local crew was very accommodating and helpful in scheduling the the best excursions. We had a blast!

We had an amazing time. We were a group of 9 people and there was plenty of room for all of us. Albert and Francee were both amazing. They took care of all of our groceries and Airport transfers. They also kept the property and beach clean. Chef Nelson was amazing and catered to all of our needs and wishes. He made delicious meals, accommodated gluten-free and made us frozen drinks and cocktails. I can't say enough great things about the home and workers! The owner was also super helpful and very responsive. He gave us great recommendations for restaurants and excursions. I only wish we could have stayed longer. I highly recommend and hope to go back someday.
