About this house rental
Welcome to our paradise. In the center of the Netherlands with Amsterdam, Utrecht, Gouda, Delft and Oudewater nearby, we offer you peace and space. How nice is it to sit on the water, enjoy the sun in the sun or enjoy the panoramic view over the meadows?
Or would you rather go for a canoe or your own rowboat in the beautiful nature reserve? This is possible with us!
We have our own natural swimming pool and sunbathing area. And do not forget your own free parking space for your car. Since there is a terrace on 3 sides of the house, you always have a wonderful place to sit. Just what you want, in the sun or in the shade.
Our nature house "De Roodborst" is fully equipped, Wifi, Smart TV with Digitenne, dishwasher, oven, microwave, washing machine, dryer etc. You do not lack the luxury. Everything is new, in 2019 we renovated inside and outside "De Roodborst". In the spring or autumn colder days? No problem. "De Roodborst" is super insulated and has central heating in all rooms.
The closed garden has space to store your (electric) bikes and possibly recharge them.
In the hallway is also the wardrobe. On the left side you will find the bedroom with 2 beds, which can be used as a double or a twin room. Of course, there are first class mattresses on the beds. The bedroom has a wall unit and a toilet / make-up table. Opposite the entrance you will find the bathroom with a spacious 90/120 shower, a hygienic hanging toilet, bathroom furniture, a Miele washing machine and a Miele tumble dryer.
From the hallway to the right you enter the living room with open kitchen. At the window on the right is the dining table.
From the sofa you have a nice wide view over the landscape.
Through the French doors you enter the terrace. On the terrace there is a garden table for 4 people for al fresco dining and sun loungers to enjoy the outdoors and of course a charcoal grill.
The rowing boat is waiting for you at the jetty. The rowing boat is specially for you and included in the rental price.
If you want, you can rent our sheets and towels. The beds are already made for you when you arrive. For this we charge an additional fee of 20,00 € per person.
Breukelen has its own train station where you can park for free. The reins take you to the center of Amsterdam in less than half an hour.
The area around Breukelen is beautiful and has a rich history. The river Vecht plays an important role. Already in the golden age, around the year 1600, the wealthy businessmen discovered the beauty of the river. The traders, who made a lot of money trading with Asia, built beautiful estates with teahouses on the Vecht. Many of these estates have been preserved. By bike along the banks of the Vecht you have a nice view of these historic buildings. If you want a combination of cycling and sailing, we can recommend the "bike boat". Around Breukelen there are many bike paths that lead you along the rivers, through the polders or in beautiful nature reserves. You should not miss the cycle route around the lakes of Loosdrecht or through the nature reserve from Tienhoven to Hilversum. Find cycling routes in Breukelen:

Finally we would like to recommend the visit of the castle De Haar in Haarzuilen. This castle was rebuilt in 1892 on the ruins of the old castle and the castle and the castle garden are regularly open to visitors; https: // www. kasteeldehaar. nl /

The property is beautifully located on the edge of a small water way, with direct access Trek Gatern which is a nature reserve and very beautiful, full of bird life and water lilies in bloom. We took our Canadian canoe and this is a perfect area to explore-we even saw a beaver! There is a rowing boat available for use on site.The garden is thoughtfully laid for maximum privacy and relaxation.We received a very warm welcome from the hosts and had everything we needed in the property for our stay. Would recommend wholeheartedly, especially to those with a canoe or kayak. Many thanks.

We had a very enjoyable week staying De Roodborst! The location was relaxing and quiet as we enjoyed the views. Very nice to have access to a boat, so plenty of time rowing around the nearby lake and islands. The cabin had a nicely equipped kitchen as we like to cook our own meals. What fun to sit on the patio or canal deck sipping coffee, eating a snack, or just enjoying the beauty of the surroundings and many types of birds. If you enjoy quiet relaxation, this cabin is perfect, especially the late day sunsets sitting next to the canal. During your stay, make sure to give some treats to Specky the pig, who will enthusiastically grunt appreciation! Host Gijs and Ying Yi were very friendly and responded quickly before and during arrival to any questions. Highly recommend you consider a week stay at De Roodborst!

We red the feedback of the mattrasses from the former inhabitants. That is really very subjectiv. We slept as good as we never did bevor. Everything was absolutly perfect. No negativ comments at all. Thank you Gijs and Ying Yi.!

Unser Aufenthalt in dieser Unterkunft war wahnsinnig schön. Die Unterkunft selber ist sehr sauber, liebevoll und modern eingerichtet. Besonders die Lage des Hauses lädt zum Entspannen ein. Wir lagen oft stundenlang auf der kleinen Terasse und haben die wunderschöne Aussicht, Ruhe und Natur genossen .Es ist alles so wie auf den Fotos hier abgebildet. Besonders gefallen hat uns auch der freie Zugang zu der Bootsanlegestelle auf dem Hof, dort gibt es einen Steg mit Leiter und eine kleine Liegewiese. Kanus und Stand-Up-Paddle stehen frei zur Verfügung. Das war für uns das Highlight unseres Urlaubs, wir haben es wahnsinnig genossen dort schwimmen zu gehen, auf der Wiese zu Entspannen oder mit den Stand-Up-Paddles über die Wasserstraßen zu fahren und dort die Vögel zu beobachtet und die Ruhe zu genießen. Man ist sehr ungestört und der gesamte Ort ist sehr ruhig und von schöner Natur umgeben. Die Tiere auf dem Hof sind niedlich und passen perfekt zu der Idylle des Hofes. Für uns war es die perfekte Auszeit vom Alltag. Ying Yi und Gijs sind super nette und sympathische Gastgeber bei den nen wir uns wirklich sehr sehr wohl gefühlt haben!
Wir kommen gerne wieder! :)
