Charming cottage-style accommodation, tastefully fitted out and exceptionally good value

Peaceful and charming location on the southern edge of the old town, with pleasant river view towards the major city church of S. Pierre (with a more distant view of the top of the cathedral spires from the upper floor bedroom). The accommodation was even more spacious than I expected - it was more like a cottage on three floors than a simple apartment. There was a ground floor vestibule, with an open plan kitchen + sitting room on the first floor, and bedroom + bathroom on the top floor. The whole place had a very homely feel, enhanced by some eye-catching pictures and furniture (I loved the curvaceous tables and stools!) Bathroom had a window (and hence natural light), and it also possessed a bathtub, which is always an important plus point for me. Very comfortable bed. Kitchen equipment all worked well, including the microwave. Efficient central heating in all rooms (this really proved its worth, as my stay coincided with an early January cold snap!). Good selection of 'arty' books on Chartres, maps, journals etc were available within the main rooms for visitors to read and browse through. Prompt and efficient communications from host, with very clear check-in instructions. Autrimo was extremely kind in letting me stay on in the property well beyond my checkout time on the final day, because I was not departing from Chartres until the early evening. All in all, my 4-day stay in this property was exceptionally good value for money.

A few more resident items in the kitchen would have been helpful (eg a roll of paper kitchen towel, pair of scissors in the cutlery drawer, a reserve supply of teabags and instant coffee). In the bedroom, it would have been useful to have had access to a blanket as well as a duvet. One of the bedside lamps was impossible to use because there was no wall socket close enough to plug it in (this could easily have been remedied with an extension lead and a plug adaptor). The bathtub was shorter than I was expecting (it was too short to sit in with legs outstretched).

Parking. A nightmare. The owners available parking space was a bit of a trek especially with suitcases so we opted to park on the nearby streets. We were very lucky to find somewhere.

Appartement bien situé et bien équipé.

C’est la troisième fois que nous allions dans cet appartement et il convient à notre groupe familial de trois personnes. Mon fils de 40 ans qui dort dans le canapé à l’étage Salon/Cuisine. Et mon Mari et moi-même qui dormons dans le lit double à l’Etage de la Chambre et de la Salle d’Eau. Cet appartement est très proche du Centre ville et c’est idéal pour visiter ou se faire un bon Restaurant. Le combiné Plaque de Cuisson/Four/Lave-Vaisselle est idéal pour un encombrement réduit.

Pas de remarque bloquante ; peut-être quelques couverts supplémentaires mais c’est un détail souvent rencontré dans les appartements équipés et nous avons l’habitude de prendre avec nous une petite caisse en plastique avec des couverts et de la vaisselle supplémentaire quand il manque par exemple des bols parce les plus répandues sont des tasses ou mugs.

La conciergerie était absente, ne répondait jamais. (Dieu merci ils sont voisins).

L’accès dans le séjour et les chambres: un seul escalier était mentionné sur l’annonce mais il y en avaient 2 escaliers et en plus très raides!! Pas pratique avec les enfants. L’idée de parking était bien mais c’est trop loin du lieu d’ habitation. C’est contraignant de faire des aller-retours surtout entre la maison et le parking.

Petit séjour à Chartres

Le plus de cet appartement c’est son emplacement sur les bords de l’Eure et avec vue sur l’église St Pierre et vous êtes à 10 min à pieds de la cathédrale. L’appartement était propre, la chambre assez grande avec un lit confortable.

La cuisine est très petite et il manque des épices comme le sel et poivre et surtout du sucre si vous voulez cuisiner ou prendre un café. Nous avons aussi remarqué une fuite des toilettes dans la salle de bain. Comme c’est un quartier très touristique c’est un peu bruyant le matin quand vous laissez la fenêtre ouverte. Et la VMC dans la salle de bain attenante à la chambre fait beaucoup de bruit surtout la nuit.

Proximité du cœur de ville et parcage très proche . Maison de ville tres pratique . Tout y est pour passer un moment agréable . Tout y est presque parfait

séjour cocooning !

Dés notre arrivé nous nous sommes sentie comme à la maison! l'appart est bien décoré et aménagé. La vue du salon est très jolie le quartier est calme et la literie très confortable.

La baignoire, quelques fuites au niveau de la paroi,une cabine de douche ou une douche à l'italienne serait parfaite et changer quelques ustensiles de cuisine, la poêle accroche !

Herrlich

Die Lage ist sehr schön, ruhig aber nicht ausgestorben. Man hat ein Häuschen für sich. Es ist nicht überladen, ganz übersichtlich. Urs hat sehr viel Charme. Man kann alles zu Fuß erreichen

Keine Ahnung Ich habe kannte aber das Häuschen schon und war zum zweiten Mal dort Mir gefällt es einfach
