This property was perfect for our visit to the area. The host Nigel was so kind to let us have a very late check in. The place is immaculate and finished to a very high spec, there was everything we needed for our two night stay. The breakfast left for us was all we needed and very good.

There really wasn’t anything about this place we didn’t like - may be tissues in the bath room is all I could think of.

Fantastic little place

Liked pretty much everything. Great comms with the owner before we arrived. Asked for recommendations for places to eat. Suggested the marlestone tavern 10 mins drive away, a pie pub, had fabulous reasonably priced meal. The owner met us at the door, showed us around, and explained how everything worked and was only next door if needed. The Appt was immaculate, and the attention to detail was very impressive. Detailed instructions on how to work everything in the welcome pack. Modern furnishings and lighting on dimmer switches, iron and board, hairdryer, full length mirror. It is very well designed with space to put stuff in the bathroom, often sadly lacking in much bigger accommodation. Clean vinyl type flooring rather than unhygienic carpet, books, games, torch, table, and chairs inside and out. Good off-road parking. House is in a quiet street on a private housing estate. Had to drive out to eat or could cook at home in a cute, well equipped kitchen. Nice toiletries provided.. pastries, bread, jam marmalade butter joghurt fruit and cereal provided. Milk tea coffee and sugar plentiful. Really couldn't fault the place. Thanks for a great stay.

Couldn't really wander down the road to a pub, would have preferred choice of plain rather than choc filled pastries, bit more milk would have been nice. Minor things that did not spoil our stay in the slightest.

Nigel made check in so easy and he suggested great places to see, things to do, and really fun restaurants/pubs. We also enjoyed the shower experience. Everything in this place was well thought out for a studio. We even had a suitcase caddy and eating table with chairs.

A well-appointed apartment including continental breakfast items. Peaceful with off road parking

We only stayed one night, but Nigel greeted us warmly upon arrival and gave us a comprehensive handover. The apartment was very well-appointed with plenty of extras for a stay. There were various continental breakfast items left in the cupboard and fridge, which we didn’t take advantage of as planned to go elsewhere for breakfast. The contemporary apartment was warm and peaceful, and there was off road parking outside the entrance door.

A peaceful stay in the Cotswolds

I had a wonderful stay in Hook Norton. The host - Nigel was incredibly friendly and welcoming, replied very quickly whenever I reached out. They were very informative about the local area, offering great recommendations and helpful tips that really enhanced my stay. It was also reassuring to know they were available whenever needed, without ever being intrusive. Parking was very convenient, with a space right in front of the house. The neighbourhood felt extremely safe and peaceful, with a lovely village atmosphere that made the stay even more relaxing. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience—highly recommended!

If I had to point out a couple of small things, the hair dryer wasn’t very powerful, so drying long hair took a bit longer than usual—though it wasn’t a real inconvenience. The annexe is directly attached to the main house, so there can be a little sound transfer. It didn’t bother us, but we were actually more concerned about possibly disturbing the host. Because of this, the space is probably best suited for guests who are naturally quiet and respectful. Overall, these were minor points, and the stay was still very comfortable thanks to the host’s warm and helpful hospitality.

Screaming owner, unsettled guests

The location is perfect, the room is clean and the small kitchen is a bonus.

We stayed 2 nights in this place, we checked in at 2 PM left the place to do some sightseeing in the area and did not come back till 11 PM. On our second night we had an early night to get up early in the morning, at 8PM whilst having dinner, we could hear the guy (owner) screaming and the lady calming him down. We can hear everything word by word as they seem to be next on our door something along the lines of he is going to talk to us (assumed at the time it was us) and the lady calming him down, telling him that maybe he has not given the correct instruction or communicated it properly. We were worried that they were going to burge whilst we were eating. We checked the rules of the booking, and we cannot see anything that we have done wrong. 30 minutes later, friends/family came over and we could hear them laughing (which at this point we were relieved to hear) this goes on till 11 PM and loud TV till 11:30PM This is by far the most unsettled experience we had in a B&B, and the fact that they have access through our room makes it even more unsettling.

Nigel was really accommodating regarding our check in time. We were delayed and he made sure he was around for us when we got back later than planned. It's a lovely room with with cooking facilities and a great shower! We were comfortable and it was quiet. I would recommend staying here.

A lovely place to stay and walking distant to anywhere in Hook Norton & visiting the Cotswolds.

Our stay was extremely comfortable. Nigel was there to meet us and explain how everything worked. The shower was fabulous as was the room. A continental breakfast was provided, with an assortment of croissants, cinnamon buns, toast, yogurt, jam, juice, tea & coffee. Excellent. Thank-you very much 😊

There wasn’t anything not to like. Everything was excellent. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area again. 😊

Beautiful self contained studio apartment

Spotlessly clean, spacious, comfortable and very peaceful. The studio is in a small residential estate but within easy walking distance to the village. Breakfast was in the fridge in the studio. Cereal, fruit, yogurts, pastries, bread, jams, orange juice. Very nice!

Our short stay was comfortable and quiet and just what we wanted

The help yourself breakfast was basic but perfectly adequate. The fresh fruit was a bonus. The room was very well planned, providing everything we needed.

There was a very high step up to the front door. The plug in the bathroom basin leaked.

Perfect/quiet compact studio apartment in the Cotswolds

The owner, Nigel, greeted us and showed us around. We were then left to our own devices. It's a lovely compact studio apartment with everything you'd possibly need. Very quiet location in a lovely village. Continental breakfast provided for our two night stay in the compact kitchen area. Toiletries provide. Food and atmosphere were also perfect in the village's local The Sun Inn.

Just two little personal things. I don't like seeing standby lights in the dark - so I put things in front or on top of them to make them go away. We left our clothes in our suitcases, though there was hanging space all the draws were full. Perhaps invest in draws that go under the bed?

It was an enjoyable stay, a good base to explore the surrounding areas.

The property is in a good location, and walking distance to the centre. Facilities were adequate for our stay, albeit bijou. The owners were thoughtful in creating a private area in front of the property for sitting outside when the weather was good.

Could do with a crockery drainer, and some sort of rack to hang towels. Also, the window was letting in too much light in the mornings - maybe a thicker curtain could solve the problem?

The blinds were not good enough for me, light wakes me up and when the security light went on it lit up the room. Simple fix and doesn't deter from the quality of the place.

Perfect stay in a clean, modern apartment.

A gem of an apartment. Such a lovely place to stay with absolutely everything you could possibly need away from home. The room was spotlessly clean. A very friendly welcome by the owner but then your own privacy. A nice selection of breakfast left ready in the fridge. Next to a nice village and in easy reach of great places to visit.

This is such a lovely place to stay ,, it’s in a very quite location the property has every think you could need ,, it’s very clean ,, Nigel met us there and showed us in ,, there was a fridge full of treats and fresh milk and orange too ,, bed was very comfortable and the shower was a lovely end to a busy day
