Rome Museum House

Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The apartment has two spacious rooms with charming vintage furniture, and the neighborhood is lovely, green, and well connected by public transport. The A/C and elevator were also very welcome. Hilary was a very welcoming and friendly host.

The only thing worth noting is that the apartment is a little more compact than it appears in the photos. The living area shown as the main picture is not part of the guest accommodation. Also, while the apartment is private, the host lives on the same floor, so it's helpful to know that this is not a completely separate unit.

Very caring hostess, an exceptional individual. We loved the area which is quiet and away from the tourist locations. Wonderful neighbourhood full of parks and all the necessary amenities, plus much history and a museum too (well, this is Rome after all). Good restaurants, bar/cafes and an exceptional ice cream bar in the close vicinity. The interior of the apartment was amazing, truly a museum house with very eclectic decoration and furniture. The two bedrooms, small kitchenette and well-appointed bathroom that we rented form an independent apartment within the very large apartment of the hostess. Overall. an excellent arrangememnt and we certainly hope to find an occasion to visit Rome again and to stay with Ms Hilary.

The fact that we could not extend our holiday! The apartment was available to rent for a few days more, but, alas, duty called at home.
