A beautiful character filled building close to the heart of town. Large light filled room in a peaceful location and a delightful host. Good breakfast with excellent coffee

Our stay at The Vicarage Bed and Breakfast was superb! We felt welcomed and at home from the moment we arrived. Shanti is a wonderful and accommodating hostess with helpful information recommendations and suggestions on to make the most of our time in Oamaru. Our room was so beautiful with lovely light, well stocked, and very comfortable. We enjoyed the tea/coffee and biscuits in the downstairs living room several times, as the common room is quite inviting with fun books and games. Breakfast was scrumptious, served in the big bay window of the historical Victorian home. The location is perfect -- quiet, but close enough to walk to town and to the Victorian historic district, Steampunk Museum, botanical gardens and the Blue Penguin Colony. Shanti provided so many thoughtful extras (like the basket of extra throw blankets and the great map of the town). We truly enjoyed our stay at The Vicarage and hope to come back again!

Breakfast needs to be more elaborate. More power points in the room Tea and coffee available in the room
