Me encanata atlixco!
I am gonna try to be fair. It was my first time in atlixco. I booked this from abroad. I was there because my girlfriend family is originally from there although we now live in New York. The place is not US standard of course BUT that is normal. Considering it is a small town, and considering the price I paid, the value was good. The hotel has a cute garden in the middle, free wi-fi, an accessible rooftop with a beautiful view of the mountain and the volcano. The owner is always present. One the most friendly people I ever met. Despite my so so Spanish, he helped my with so many things during my trip. I forgot my charger at the airport, he lend me one( which in the end he let me keep as a gift) , he was helping me to translate stuff, gave me towels whenever I asked for more, I had a drink 🥃 with him one night and we spoke about the city a little and the stuff to visit. The interaction alone with this guy made the stay worth it for me. Yo boy a régresar amigo! Octav
Few minors things to fix like the water pressure, which does works but not always stable. Some mosquito nets on demand would be nice 😉

Shower and bathroom were very basic and kind of dirty.

Disappointed
The location
The pool was dirty, so it was impossible to swim. The playground for kids was very dusty, I check in at 12:30 like it's advertised but at my arrival they told me the check in was at 3, they were not very happy about it. I didn't find towels in the room, I had to ask for them and they didn't bring them yo the room I had to go down again and get them. I had a baby and they gave me the 3rd floor which was difficult since there is no elevator. They were kind but at night I found many cockroaches :( that was the worst, they gave me a different room at the same floor but the next day when I was packing there was one cockroach inside my carry on. The lobby is full of cat hairs. I think they have a lot of work to do when it comes to cleaning and specially fumigation.

Nothing at all. On booking it was rated 4 stars, I give it a 1.
There was dog feces everywhere. I complained about it but was told the 3 pugs running around was the owners. Also our sink fell and water flooded our floors. I was switched to a smaller room but no compensation. I tried contacting booking but no luck.
