Number one for us was the food - the meals prepared at the hotel were exceptional. The atmosphere was so relaxing, the staff were accommodating and attentive to our needs (without being intrusive). It is a small hotel so the feeling was intimate. Quiet. Serene. There are trails throughout the property to various beaches and the river. The rooms were luxurious and comfortable. No tv- you are in nature! Bring mosquito spray and a swimsuit, and prepare to be unplugged. Wifi was spotty in the room, but strong in communal areas. The shower did not get very warm but in that climate, it's refreshing and nice. Don't hesitate to book. I am counting the days until I can return...
