The location is perfect if you want to be close to citta alta but at the same time close transport to the airport and lower city. The atmosphere in the apartment is beautiful and the decorations are carefully chosen. The host gave very clear directions for everything which made me feel safe not to make any mistakes. Overall, beautiful place in a great area with restaurants and bars close by. Especially good location for solo travellers as I felt really safe, even at night.

Great location, just at the foot of the Citta alta, the centre of which is a 15 min walk away. Or you can catch the no. 1 bus, the stop's just up the road from the guest house - you can also catch it in the other direction to the airport which is very handy too.

It's an old house, but with double glazing since I last stayed so street noise isn't a problem (the street is quiet in the evening but there is quite a lot of traffic going past in the morning). Since it's an old building this also means that soundproofing between the two rooms side-by-side is pretty much non-existent, so you can hear your neighbours. However the two times I've stayed there the neighbours were fairly quiet so it wasn't a problem. The quantity of air freshener could perhaps be toned down a bit, when we arrived it was pretty overpowering and even permeated our clothes!

I wasn't able to stay in the Refugio room because of urgently needed repair work, but Christian allowed me to stay in his Loft apartment on the ground floor of the same building at no extra cost, and that worked out perfectly for me. It's a beautiful building with a lot of character, in a very pleasant and convenient location, and Christian is a superb host, especially in terms of communication and making sure all your needs are met.

It was amazing apartment. The place is located in the middle of the old town, Cita Alta and the lower town. The atmosphere is absolutely historic, very close to the Accademia Carrara. Everything was wonderful. There was a small quest to find the apartment and go in the first time, especially if you arrive during evening dark time — so read the instructions from Christian carefully! 😀
