Ghost Light Inn

The room was very comfortable and had a great view of the river.

The shower configuration was strange. The shower was an elongated shape, with the water control valve at one end and the shower head at the other end. It made dialing in the water temp somewhat cumbersome. This was really not a big deal, however the shower floor pitch was not adequate enough to prevent water from flowing outside the shower and into the bathroom/water closet. So, we had to mop up with towels outside the shower once we were finished.

The location is perfect and the Inn is very chic. The rooms are beautiful and a good size. The check-in experience was great and the entire staff is so nice and welcoming. We stayed here because we were traveling with our pet and she loved it too! We also ate at Stella and were allowed to bring our dog on the patio. It snowed that night so it was a little chilly but it was still a wonderful experience! The food was delicious and the service warm and friendly.

Facility was very clean and nicely decorated. Everything seemed very cozy.

It snowed while we were there, which was lovely. Maybe offer a service to clear the car of snow.

The room and bathroom were fine, large, clean. It was comfortable.

There are no balconies even tho the website says otherwise. When we called downstairs the manager said “well you booked on booking.com.” (So what) they pay to be on booking com. I had sent a note to the hotel to ask if it was possible to have a private balcony (the website says some are shared and some are private). They responded with yes they could accommodate us. Later when I went downstairs he actually pulled up a highlighted Google page for a lesson in “Juliet” balconies, at the ready for when this misunderstanding happens. (It probably wasn’t necessary). I don’t need a lesson. I live in ny and am well aware of what a Juliet balcony is. I prefer to be notified (in advance) of what to expect at a hotel and not surprised to find it is not so. Change your website! And manager. On there behalf they did say they could adjust the price, we said no, that we were just looking for what they offered.
