Gorgeous River View in Alfama

The apartment was very cute and had a lovely mid-century modern style, which we really love. It gave us the feeling of staying in an “old town” version of Lisbon, which created such a lovely atmosphere. The location was amazing, with public transport easily accessible all around us. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay, and we especially enjoyed the balconies, which were lovely to sit on and watch the sunset in the afternoon or the sunrise in the morning. Fernando was extremely nice and so easy to communicate with. We could message him whenever we needed anything, and he was always very helpful and easy to talk to.

There are a few flights of stairs to climb to get to the apartment, which is completely understandable for an older building in Lisbon. However, after spending our days walking up and down Lisbon’s hills, the stairs back to the apartment did start to feel like a bit of a workout! 😂 The shower was also a little on the small side, although we are both quite tall, so that probably didn’t help! 😂

Logement typique, qui a du cachet et du charme. Le vieux bois, la pierre, le côté ancien du logement était très sympathique on s’y est senti bien. Les terrasses sont un plus, la prise au vent est bonne, ce qui permet de se rafraîchir et les deux vues sont très agréables.

Le lit et les oreillers : inconfortables, vraiment. La baignoire, pour les grandes personnes, c’est vraiment pas agréable on essaie au max de se doucher couché. Même si en soi, ça donne un charme atypique. Le pire : la boîte de nuit à côté. Sans climatisation on laisse forcément les fenêtres ouvertes, sur 7 nuits 3 soirées ont été dérangeantes à cause du bruit, c’est un point que j’aurais aimé savoir avant de réserver. Bouchons d’oreille et fermeture des portes obligé pour les sommeils les plus légers.

Location was excellent. There was a supermarket nearby and it was easy to walk to many places of interest. Its proximity to Santa Apolonia made it very easy to travel further afield to places like Sintra. We enjoyed the retro style of the apartment and it had everything we needed.

Location is good, near the river, walking distance to main areas, train & metro services

This isn't an apartment with a river view unless you're on the balcony, standing room only. Although we appreciate it's an old building, the bathroom & bedroom need a revamp, including pillows (not enough & flat) & towels need replacing. Clothes felt damp in the wardrobes & need a paint inside to clean them up
