    The hotel is located in the bustling center but in a very old building. My room was actually quite fine and the breakfast/cleaning staff friendly and helpful. The value for the money was quite good.

    The best part is their location... Simply stunning right in the heart of the downtown with shops of all different kinds.. Gives you the real vibe of Cairo.... Breakfast is filling and the rooms are cosy and clean just what you need for a nice vacation.... Highly recommended....

    stayed four nights at the Golden Palace Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The location is excellent — close to shops, restaurants, museums, Al-Azhar University, and the bustling bazaar markets. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always ready to help with directions and local advice. Breakfast was included and offered a well-balanced variety each morning. Although the building is a little old and the lift could use some maintenance, the warm service more than made up for it. The rooms were clean, tidy, and comfortable. Overall, I’d rate it 4/5 and highly recommend it to anyone seeking great value for money in the heart of Cairo.

    Horrible Experience – Felt Like a Haunted Hotel! We arrived at 2 a.m. after booking through agoda for two nights, but the hotel had no record of our reservation and claimed they don’t work with agoda. After half an hour of explaining and showing proof, they said the room had leakage issues and moved us to another hotel in the middle of the night. The building itself looked like it had been abandoned for 100 years — dark, eerie, and empty. The lift was an old, manual one straight out of the 1920s, and we were taken to the fourth floor with no guard or staff around. The next morning, the other hotel kept calling us to leave and return to the first one. Overall, a terrible, stressful, and unprofessional experience. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!
