Villa Las Calderetas

Really big house nice pool area and kitchen has everything you need. Beds very comfortable

Really remote nothing at all in town no bars or restaurants one little shop. Also the pool is not heated

Felt very Spanish and not touristy, only a 5 minute drive from the coast, nice pool area, having Netflix was a bonus.

Inside seating area was not all that comfortable, not many restaurants open in town in the evening.

The host was very friendly and helpful, and met us to show us around. She was available to message during our stay too. The villa was clean and nicely presented inside. It included all the basic things we needed for our stay. The beds were comfortable, and there was plenty of bedding and towels.

We booked this accommodation very last minute (2 weeks) as the villa we had booked cancelled on us with very short notice due to a problem with the pool. At this stage there was very little time to look for something else, and this was offered to us via booking.com. There are mixed reviews about this place, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt since I did not have much time. The villa met my requirements in terms of location and number of beds and facilities such as the pool, BBQ area etc. However, unfortunately, all the things pointed out by the previous people who have stayed there are true. The negatives are: there is no real lounge area, only a dining table and a small seating area, which is not conducive to relaxing. The main disappointment was that the villa is not one villa, but one house divided into two. This is not made clear at all in the advert. The other guests were not problem, but because it is two houses divided into one, one bedroom has no windows, because there is only the large door which opens do the driveway where the car is (my 8 year old daughter stayed in this room so we could not have that open!!!) The two double bedrooms (with 2 single beds each) are great, but the other room with a double bed, where me and my husband stayed had no window to outside at all, only a window opening to the kitchen/utility area. It is therefore not very private! The doors are quite loud and squeaky and don't shut properly. The other disappointment is the fact that there is no view from the kitchen because there are shutters closed to stop you seeing in to the other villa's courtyard... Oh and the pool is freezing and nowhere near as big as it looks in the photos! Like I said, the villa is fine, but it is not honest in its advert as I expected a single house. For the price I paid, I expected a single house. I would have been happy at this villa if I had paid less.
