We initial chose the Casa Ricciardi apartment at Chianni as it was within a 25 minute drive of the Teatro Del Silenzio, were we had tickets to see Andrea Bocelli.
The location of the apartment is only a two minute walk from the centre of the village, with its shops, bars and restaurants. Chianni is quiet, charming, and unspoiled, set high up on a hillside looking out over the rolling Tuscan landscape. There are several vinyards located within a few miles where you can taste and buy excellent local wines and olive oil.
The two bedroom apartment itself was exceptionally well appointed, with a comfortable living room, dining room, bathroom and kitchen, which contained a fridge freezer, gas hob, microwave and dishwasher, everything you would need for a self catering holiday.
The main bedroom was located at the front of the apartment next to the bathroom. While the second bedroom is at the rear. There was also a washing machine in a small laundry room.
The apartment was spotlessly clean throughout, and with a large veranda/patio area at the rear overlooking the garden. The views over the Tuscan countryside from the front of the apartment were stunning.
Our hosts Alessandro and family were very welcoming, with a bottle of local wine and produce from Alessandro's garden as a arrival gift. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and we thank them for their kindness during our stay.
We have already decided to re-book for next year.
We couldn't think of anything we didn't like!
