would happily stay here again, but have breakfast elsewhere. The views from the terrace and pool are stunning. Rooms are basic but perfectly fine; room 3 is more charming than 2 and 4, although the bathroom lighting is poor. Easy parking right outside the gates. The location is excellent, within walking distance of fabulous wineries including Movia (charmig views; reserve ahead) and Mavrič (very rustic but very personal), as well as some very good restaurants. We loved Tavarneta for fine dining; the same family owns the even more upscale Bužinel which was closed when we stayed.

Breakfast was the only real disappointment. At €20 p.p. it was by far the most limited of our holiday. The produce was good quality, but the bread was reheated and eggs weren't even included. Mjrka nearby is a very basic café offering three types of good-quality sandwiches. (Note: blue parking zone: use a parking disc or leave a note with your arrival time behind the windscreen.)
