This is one of the best studio apartments we have ever stayed in.

A centrally located gem

The location is excellent for restaurants,shops, and shoreline. The kitchen is very well supplied with all you need, even some coffee and spices which were appreciated. The studio makes good use of it's space so there is everything you need, even beach supplies. It was very clean and owner readily accessible. We would definitely stay again.

Convenient location. Place was obviously dated, but unit was clean and very well stocked. Pool and hot tub were both nice. Parking was extremely easy.

Stairs were a bit tough. Place was definitely older, but grounds were very neat. Exterior could use a little touchup.

A nice property well located with good facilities but spoilt by an aged ineffective air conditioning unit

This is a well located property for access to Kailua. It is clean, tidy and very quiet. The facilities are generally good. So on this basis I would recommend it to others. BUT

The aged air conditioning unit was unable to maintain anything other than a sweltering temperature in the room at night which was therefore most uncomfortable.It needs an ‘aircon’ upgrade.

Location was great, easy walk to shops and restaurants. View from the balcony was amazing. Very clean studio. Nice pool. Great kitchen.

Bed was a little uncomfortable, mattress was a bit lumpy. Pillows were feather and extremely soft which was uncomfortable as well.

It was clean, offered what we needed and was very functional. We loved the location.

The balcony with the view is very nice!

Arrival could have been better. Had no internet and waited for the code using the McDonald's wifi. But other than that, we have had a brilliant stay!

Quiet for sleeping, clean, well stocked kitchen, balcony, some availabile beach supplies towels and beach chairs and umbrella. Pool is small but clean and refreshing and hot tub nice to relax in. Host responds quickly to questions. Excellent location to walk was to central Kona.

Building is dated and stairs were fine for us but if a perso has mobility problems it would be hard.

The location was good and the kitchen had everything you could need for a longer stay.

The bed was very uncomfortable and it didn’t have enough sleeping pillows. Also, the laundry facilities had ridiculous hours, so we were never able to do any laundry.

Exceptional

This is a hidden gem. If I ever vacation in Kona again, I will won't even look for another place to stay. Two reasons: location and price. You can't beat either. The location is incredible and the price is an amazing value. The accommodations are small, but clean, very nice, and homey. Kitchen, fridge, nice shower, great bed/internet/tv....it even has beach chairs, snorkel gear, and a small beach cooler. It literally felt like I was staying at a friends local Hawaiian apartment while they were out of town. If you want resort luxury, this is not for you. However, if you want a place that is clean / quiet and really nice, you can't beat this. Why spend a lot on a hotel room when you are in Hawaii? Get out and explore and come back to a great place with walkability to bars, music, food, shops. I loved my stay and would do it again in a heart beat.

Great location! The host was more than helpful. It was walking to the downtown and had free parking. We used the Jacuzzi one night and the area was very quiet. We stayed here for our honeymoon and had a great time.

Perfect for a couple seeking a quiet stay in easy walking distance of everything you might need.

Very responsive owner. Excellent location with small beach, numerous restaurants, large supermarket, etc. within just a few blocks. Very comfortable living/sleeping space. Kitchen and beach equipment provided that far exceeded "bare minimum." Small pool/jacuzzi/grill area very clean. Fast free wifi. All in all just perfect for us.

Honestly can't think of anything I would change. This would not be a good fit for a family with children or for partying-types. And being a third-floor unit with no elevator anyone with mobility issues should look elsewhere.
