Location was ok

I am leaving an honest review of The Victorian Cottage. No SMOKE DETECTORS anywhere. Beautiful woodwork was IT. The sign for the sote eas IMPOSSIBLE to find. No street sign "hatchet hill rd” at all. Lucky to find it. No smell of cleanliness/detergent on anything. Bedding or towels. Everything smelled DUSTY, SMELLY & MUSKY. My sibling has asthma and is allergic to dust mites. Reacted BADLY! BADLY. Nothing is cleansed. Not bedding nor bath. No dusting, no nothing tidied. Flea market stuff used to decorate is incredibly cluttered and crowded and nothing looked like it had been washed since purchased. Christening gowns included. The shower had mold on the curtain when wet. The flow of water was SLOW shower or full faucet. No dishwasher. Found dried food on a plate. Looks like was rinsed, never washed. No napkins, paper towels, or trash bags or utensils. Did have knives.

The cabin was delightful.

I wish we could have use the canoe and the fire pit but the weather was not cooperative.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful and the the area was very quiet, relaxing and peaceful.

We did not have breakfast.

More privacy needed for the restroom(only curtain no door).

Bad

The bed was comfortable

You drive through a junkyard to get to the cabins. There was dog poop on the porch of our cabin which we had to clean up. The cabin was dusty; the bathroom was in the bedroom; the liquid soap was dirty; the ac couldn’t be adjusted; the chandelier had 4 burned out bulbs and 2 different working bulbs; there was no bath soap. I would not go back and would not recommend.

Nice, cozy cottage in a scenic area.

Lovely cottage, nice location. Would be perfect for a couple without children. We would certainly consider this for an anniversary trip.

Pull-out bed had torn sheets and wasn't very clean. It would also have been ice to have curtains on the door windows. These wouldn't have been issues if we didn't have children.
