The view is simply breathtaking! We very much enjoyed the peace and quiet this location offered, it really is hard to beat such a remote location with bluebonnets in the driveway and a lovely lilac in full bloom in one of the live oaks.
The house was very clean and the host was really helpful, easy to reach, and hands-on with the few issues we had!
The hosts have clearly poured a lot of time, effort, and money into this location, and were so kind and nice that I truly struggle with voicing a few things:
1. The beds were super comfortable once we managed to get in. However, they do require the use of a step stool because they are up so high. We had step stools with us, but figure it would be nice for them to be at the house also.
2. The kitchen does need a bit of work. The siding is peeling off of the cupboards (not visible on pictures), and the pots and pans etc. are very scratched and worn out. The hosts have so kindly left water, extra food, and small welcome bags in the house. We greatly appreciated the gesture and definitively used the water! Unfortunately, it seemed that quite a few of the previous guests had left the gift bags and/or items at the house, stuffing them in drawers and cupboards. Just a quick declutter of the items is needed! We also noted that while the house was exceptionally clean, the fridge wasn't as clean - someone's drink had spilled in it and it needed more than a cursory wipedown.

Very comfortable, had everything we needed, everything was working perfectly fine , very good air conditioning, beautiful view, love it, if we ever have the chance to stay there will happily do it 😃

We loved the scenic views from the upper deck.
There were a couple of items needing repair or replaced like the fire pit was rusted out so we couldn’t use it.

Location was great, beds were good to sleep in
It was dark and not so modern as I’d prefer. Not a massive fan of carpets and staircase was spiral and tricky at times. The sofa was very uncomfortable to be seated on.
