Les Trompeurs chez Odette

The place was cute and cozy, in a very good way. I could tell by the pictures of the place that it was built with love and impeccably kept, but it even exceeded my expectations. The breakfast room was a great place to meet people in the morning, enjoy a good breakfast with a cappuccino and get on the way to hiking the beautiful town and Gran Paradiso Valley right out the door. Parking was free and that was a bonus, too. Paolo was an exceptional host with a great eye for detail and art and has practically created a Museum of the Alps with his work. Ask him about the history of the place - very interesting story!

The room we stayed in was a bit small, but fine for the two of us. In retrospect, I would have paid a little extra for the larger rooms - as I peeked at one and it too was very nice, but roomier. Because of the smaller size perhaps, the room could have used more hooks and places to hang towels and things, and a floor-length mirror by the door would have been nice. On the other hand, the place and the views were fabulous and I would stay here in a heartbeat again. These are picky things, slight improvements, and didn't really affect my stay.
