nice big apartment, great communication from the host, reasonably well equipped quite location (not many shops/markets close by but a few restaurants in the square 5 mins walk ) comfortable beds, washing machine, consistent hot water with good pressure, ground floor with easy access In the 3 Cities so if you want to go to Valletta you need to get the ferry or traditional boat (both in easy walking distance)

The location suited us. We didn’t have a car so the limited parking in the area wasn’t an issue. The apartment is modern and well decorated. It is mostly quiet (especially compared to an apartment we once rented in Sliema ! ). The narrow streets mean that when a car or motorbike goes past you notice it. But mostly there is very little passing traffic. We didn’t cook or use the cooking facilities so I can’t comment on those but they seemed modern and little used. There is a washing machine outside but we didn’t use it. The kettle and fridge work just fine 😉 The host was very communicative and helpful. We felt relaxed about getting to and into the property.

There isn’t really anything that we didn’t like. Minor quirks exist in every rental property and this was no exception. It wasn’t Malta’s warmest March, so we were a little cool at night. There is heating available via the air conditioning / heating for colder months but we didn’t feel that it was cold enough to use it. We would have just preferred more bedding to be a little more comfortable at night. Perhaps an extra duvet or blanket / throw. Minor thing really!

Darren is a perfect host, answering every question and helping us even before our arrival. The apartment is large and perfect for 3 peope, but more coud easily fit 😊 The kitchen is well equiped. There are some small stores around, but you need to go at least once to Valetta to Lidl or Spar for propper shopping at a supermarket. Wi fi was very good. We used the A/C even if it has a coin meter, don't imagine it will break your budget. Close to Birgu center, 3 minutes walk. Lovely city, away from the crowds. We used the bus all the time (no.2 from the center or 3 or 4 from the main gate, 7 min walk). We used the boat only once to get to the Gozo ferry.

Malteze buildings are made of limestone, so, in December, it was very cold inside. We used the A/Cs (one in each bedroom and one in the living) and it was better. The problem was with the towels that had no way of drying and we had only one of each per person.

Superb support from the owner; very high standard of accommodation; excellent location with easy access to local facilities including ferries to Valletta

Not really suitable for a car but the local taxi service is good and quite cheap so we were able to visit everywhere we wanted. The airport is only 15-20 minutes away which allowed a cheap 1 day car rental to see the further parts of the island.
