The house is very cute, decorated with lovely Chico -related decor and relatively accessible to downtown. It was very clean, the backyard is nice. You might want to note that it is on a very busy one-way street so you do hear street noise in the front and parking in front of the house can be a problem, so we parked around the corner. Also, the communication with the owner was poor as I was asked at one point to cancel my reservation because they said they wanted to do some construction work, although I think it was probably due to the high demand for that weekend. I didn’t preemptively cancel, but waited anxiously to see if they would, which they chose not to do I guess. Also, after I checked out we were told the cleaning person said we left the house “filthy” and would we pay a larger cleaning fee? We spent 80% of our time and almost all of our meals outside of the house never even using the stove or any appliances and we would never leave a house dirty, so we absolutely disagreed and the issue was dropped. I have to say that took away from the experience for us.

My son and I were in town to check out Cal State Chico and the location of the property was minutes away from the campus. We were able to get a good lay of the land while we mere there while enjoying the comfort and attention to detail in the house! Walking into the house after a 7 1/2 hour drive from Orange County and walking out of the 103 degree heat into the air conditioning and ceiling fans was heaven!! The juke box is so cool and has an excellent assortment of music that we enjoyed! Would definitely stay there again! Had to communicate with the host just about resetting the juke box to work and received a response and solution within minutes!

We love this little bungalow for it's location and Chico charm! The street parking on Pine St. can be a little tight so just be careful when exiting your car. This is our 4th summer staying here and we'll be back next year.

My teenage daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bidwell Bungalow! The house is walking distance to downtown and the park which makes it really fun and easy to get around town. The best part (for me) was playing the old Duffy's jukebox when I was hanging out in the house! I would definitely book this house again!

Great bungalow within walking distance of Lower Bidwell Park. We swam at Sycamore pool to beat the heat. Was also just a short drive to downtown and Sierra Nevada Brewing. My only complaint was that one of the provided bikes had a flat tire, but since the bikes were a bonus in the first place I really don't think it's fair to complain about that. Bocce court in the back was a fun touch. And very cool old jukebox in the living room. I didn't end up communicating with the owners due to our being in a rush, but the intro email provided easy to follow info for arrival and everything went very smoothly. Thanks for a great stay!

The street parking is a little less that desired but not a big deal for us and the back bedroom gets pretty warm during the summer months but the fans help a lot. We enjoy the outside seating a ton on the cooler mornings and the jukebox is so FUN! Location is perfect for walks in Bidwell or to downtown.

My husband, our two young children plus our dog Misty had a wonderful stay at the Bidwell Bungalow! My husband and I met at Chico State over 10 years ago and returned this past week to attend his MBA grad ceremony. This home was in such a great location, we walked into downtown multiple times daily and walked to campus. It was the perfect size for our family, decorated nicely and clean inside. The juke box was really cool! We enjoyed playing music while home. Our kids called it the "big juice box" and thought it was amazing! Next time we are in Chico we will stay here again. Thank you!

We loved our stay at the Bidwell Bungalow. Super cozy and the perfect location for exploring Chico within walking distance of downtown and Bidwell park. The owners have equipped it for enjoyment. Board games, Jenga, puzzles, a dining table and a working Juke Box indoors, as well as a bocce court in the yard. We've stayed there twice. It was better in the warmer weather, because the heating is a bit uneven. Very walkable to Bidwell Park and Caper Acres as well as downtown.

Even though the location of this unit is right off the very busy Pine street, The Home is super cute, warm, well stocked and is great for walking to coffee and downtown shops!
