The Maple

The Lodge was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The owners were very friendly and had kindly provided milk and a cream tea as a welcome. The property is also in a great spot for exploring the North Yorkshire moors, with easy access to Whitby and Scarborough.

Excellent location for visiting Whitby, Scarborough and Filey. Lovely pub right opposite. It was very quiet as only two lodges on the site.

A little more attention to cleaning would be good eg The cooker and Microwave, lots of dust on the shelf over the bed and bits of rubbish under the bed. But it didn't put us off as everything else was ok.

Your map location was incorrect. I was under the impression I was staying at a property within a park. What I discovered was I was staying in one of two properties within the grounds of the owners home and business, which I was disappointed with, and I feel this should be stated on the website. The internal photographs made the accommodation appear much bigger than it actually was. The photograph of the outside of the front on the property were not current and the garden chair and settee were not present. In the double bedroom the left side window did not open, and the twin bedroom the only window did not open which is a fire exit in the event of a fire. The owners had 2 small dogs which could be quite vocal and roamed quite close to the accommodation.
