Kitchen was well equipped and very friendly and accommodating hosts.

.Probably the lounge needed to be better lit and the single mattress was a bit worn out.

Proper home from home, lovely place! Clean, well appointed, everything you could need and more. This is the second time I've stayed and would stay again.

Seems like there's a firewall or some restriction on the Wifi, I couldn't send large files through my usual software... Had to drive to find a signal and hotspot it.

Beautifully cared for, very cosy, decorated for Christmas. Everything required in kitchen.

Lovely comfortable cottage, ideal for a couple of our age(81), and very close to family in Taunton. Also,Swan Inn across the road, with excellent food. Will definitely stay again, worth the long drive from Scotland.

Nothing to dislike.

Generally well equipped. Good location. Pub friendly but shut for some days of our stay. Great, I expect, for walkers but we are not. Magnificent countryside views while motoring around. Decent bathroom. Car parking fine, a lot better than some 'cottages'. Pleased that Boo was not lathered in fragrant cleaning products,

Fridge had a medium frequency 'howl', causing annoying resonance in the lounge, perhaps it is about to fail and the interior light/door switch did not work. More cramped than appeared in photos. Lounge layout with oversized table precluded 'cosy' log burner use; and TV watching; easy chair/sofa uncomfortable. And, yes I did bang my shins on the bed even though the owner had warned about this. I would have weeded (as invited in the manual) the yard but not on a holiday: try an application of weedkiller.

Great location and an ideal base for exploring Somerset.

The bedding unfortuantely had a number of stains and some black hairs. There was also significant dirt/dust/insects under the bed (which is a location the owner advises to place suitcases/baggage etc). We approached the owner to discuss this and initially were advised he would deal with the matter. However, what followed was very dissapointing. The owner sent me a message the cleaner had sent him from holiday to advise her relative had cleaned the property and that there were no obvious issues, although she did say the sheets were cleaned but do have stains. Following this the owner requested pictures, which I did send. This back and forth was taking place on a Saturday evening after a 5 hour drive. The owners reply was that he couldn't really make out any issues from the pics I sent (the pics were downsized due to being sent via a messaging app) and that there was "a bit of dust" for which his cleaner has apologised. So, an obvious reluctance to address the issue, and clearly as guests, we were made to feel as though we were being unreasonable and difficult for wanting clean bedding and not wanting to sleep 1 or 2 feet above a thick mass of dust that has been left for quite some time (see pic). I myself hoovered the thick dust. A day later no clean sheets had arrived, and so I contacted the owner again. The clean bedding was brought to the property on the Monday, so 2 nights after we had arrived. I have never stayed at a property previously and felt the need to raise any issues. My experience of making a simple and polite request to this owner was clearly an issue for the owner, one example being one message they sent using capital letters stating the sheets ARE clean. Unfortunately neither the cleaner who's message he sent me, nor the owner had actually seen the sheets when they were fitted, and to acknowledge there maybe stains but ignore the fact this could be problematic for guests was quite staggering.

A very cosy cottage in a great location. Very nice neighbours too!

Pretty village , nice courtyard garden, comfortable beds. Property was nice with good WiFi. Good location with easy access to Taunton and Quantocks

Carpets were worn and dirty round the edges. Bathroom very tired and shower no good for tall person 6 ft. No where to plug electric toothbrush or razor in, no shower toiletries.Poor privacy in bathroom as window which is at ground floor opens onto next doors garden/washing line. Kitchen OK but very little washing up liquid and sponge was old and worn. In bedrooms no where to hang clothes

Location was fine. Lovely pub across the roadHigh quality of fixtures and fittings.We brought many gadgets already supplied

Kitchen rather small. Washing up and drying a bit squashed. Would much rather have a dish washer to a washing machine
