Was lacking in a few basic amenities

The location was nice and quiet. Loved how pet friendly the hosts were.

We were very surprised to see no tea or coffee supplies at the property. Oddly enough we found some other kitchen ingredients that the previous guests may have left behind. So it seems not enough care was taken in the property maintenance before our visit. We were also under the impression there would be bath towels available so we had not carried any of our own. Thankfully we only spent one overnight so we somehow managed with kitchen rolls and face tissues that we had carried. The vacuum cleaner was not emptied out so we weren't able to use it ourselves. We still used the dustpan and broom to tidy up the place the best we could.

Tranquil and relaxing in a perfect cabin!

Fabulous! Spacious indoors and out, very clean and all you need in a kitchen and more. We were able to use our bbq on the gravel downstairs. We checked with the park first and they were happy for us to use the bbq on the gravel. A lovely sun trap on the spacious decking area. Comfortable seating and so tranquil. Loved the blackout curtains and two bathrooms, which was ideal for a family of four. The decking along the side of the cabin is ideal for people whole find it difficult to climb the steep steps in the front of the property. There were only 4 stairs on the side of the cabin which was handy for our elderly dog. Large fridge freezer was welcoming. We were a little unsure of the reviews and originally only booked 2 nights and we decided to extend. Cabin is high up and very private. A short walk to the lake and entertainment area. The shop is a 15 minute walk out the park and Windermere Centre a very short drive, which you could also walk. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cabin and highly recommend as it is one of the very few that is higher up and more private. We will be rebooking in the near future.

We had to use the general wi-fi, which was a little weak, however, you can still get a signal if you are on the balcony. We did not mind this, as we wanted to fully enjoy our stay which was wonderful.

Perfect

Perfect location in a quieter area. Spacious indoor and out. Sun trap most of the day. We brought our own bbq and put it on the gravel downstairs. Fully equipped kitchen.

Would definitely stay again

Location excellent, the lodge is ideal for family’s as plenty of space and decor was lovely

Very slippy steps and decking, more lights needed outside the lodge. The lodge also smelt of cooking when we arrived so maybe just a quick light of a scented candle would remove that.

Located in a heavily wooded area. It was like living in a forest - rabbits, squirrels and roe deer wandering past the windows, not too forget the loads of birds and the occasional woodpecker!

Place and location was very nice but to deal with someone to make things sorted was very difficult and unsuccessful.

Nice and clean everything you might want or need was there.

Bbq was not working and during 3night stay no one sort it so the things what was prepared to go on the bbq was going to the waste.

Nice and comfy stay

Lovely, clean and spacious lodge. Well equipped kitchen with everything needed for cooking. Big fridge and freezer. Comfy beds and sofas. Plenty storage. Outside area was good, just unused due to weather! Good location with bus stop outside of holiday park. Good location if using bus to travel around as we were. Quiet site with no noise issues

Not much information about what is actually in the lodge prior to arrival (iron, washing up liquid, tea towels, hair dryers etc). Couldn’t get wifi to work but not a big deal for us. Only had two half used rolls of toilet paper on arrival so had to buy more. Would have been helpful for towels to be included as this would have saved space in luggage but again not a huge issue.

Excellent holiday, highly recommend and would definitely go again.

The lodge was stunning, private and not overlooked. Lovely inside and fab outside space with a great barbecue. On-site bar/restaurant nice food, friendly staff and great beer garden. Location perfect to visit Ambleside, Bowness and Coniston. Bus every 20mins, some open top and only £2 each journey. The lodge was comfortable and had everything you needed. Downside, at the price and standard it would have been nice to have towels provided.

WiFi was non existent and no information about the site on arrival.

Peaceful stay

The property was very clean and had everything but towels! so had to go out and buy some. it’s not clear on booking and you get bedding which you either get both together or none at all. overall we loved our stay and would stay again. We did try contacting the owner once there and was ignored

Extremely disappointed. We need our money back.

NOTHING to like. We did not stay at the Lodge since it was not particularly clean and had a very strong smell of dogs!

The state of cleanliness was extremely poor. We did not stay at the Lodge because it had a very strong smell of dogs. If the previous guest had dogs then SYKES should air the lodge properly. We are asking for our money back but SYKES is refusing to communicate.

Amazing, cosy weekend with family.

There was everything you could need for a relaxing weekend away.

The floor is showing it's age, but having said that it was immaculately clean. Some of the neighbours were quite noisy on an evening but once the lodge doors were shut you couldn't hear them, the people running the park came around and asked them to reduce their noise.

Geen luxe, als je niet veel geld wilt uitgeven prima.

Volgensmij is de prijs redelijk goedkoop voor die plek, andere zou ik het niet echt aanbevelen. Je kunt het team (want je huurt het bij een bedrijf, niet bij een persoon) alleen via telefoon bereiken, maar dan doen ze er wel alles aan om je te helpen. Wel rustig vakantiepark ook met kleine winkel en bar/restaurant.

De WiFi is echt bijzonder slecht, doet het nauwelijks. Toen we aankwamen waren er nog poepresten in de wc.. De bedden zijn super klein, let op als langer bent dan 165 cm, dan pas je er niet in. En hele kleine kamers. Het is niet duidelijk van de fotos dat je op een vakantiepark staat en dat je omringt ben door andere huisjes, minder privacy dan je denkt.
