Aonang Pool Villa @888

The villa was in a pretty quiet location out of the main hubbub but only a 5 minute drive into the centre of Ao Nang and literally a minute to Makro to stock up on goodies. There's also a pretty wild Chinese Temple at the end of the road that isn't really mentioned anywhere but is well worth the climb to the top for the view.

The check-in was pretty limited with no real info given. A little work on this would be useful. For instance, after we were given the keys the guy left and it was a few minutes later that we realised there was no running water (plus points, when we called he arrived back in 5 minutes and sorted the issue straight away). We had booked breakfast and didn't find out until the next day that it was provided at another property about a 5-minute drive away. They provide a transfer and can deliver to your room but even having this info in a printed 'welcome' book would have made life a lot easier.

Villa was excellent, love the smart tv, and of course the private pool.

Lighting could improve in the bedrooms,maybe table lamps or a small reading lamp.

Great private villa. Noise from next door villas enjoying themselves, but 8 foot surrounding wall and solid gate is great privacy. Very good high ceiling bedrooms, good furniture (including L-couch and massive flat TV), and very chill pool. A pleasant 10 minute mocy ride through town to Ao Nang Beach.

Pool lights are turned off a bit early (9pm). Water in the toilets smelled bad, like durian for entire 4 days (possibly not the villa's fault). Rates were good for promo period. Not sure how they will be during regular price.

Good location privacy and quiteness.

Kitchen wasnt fully equipped lacking some of the basics including whine corckscrew opener. More irritating was a 100 bht deposit which wasnt specified in booking.com for the key which if we had given we'd have gotten back in upon checkout, abd considering we were therr for only 3 days and the fact that they key is required to enter and power up the property and we are both adults w/o kids i would have expected some better flexibility from owning corp.
