We loved Chur, this is a good place to stay if you don't mind missing a few basics.

The location is great. Easy access once I got used to the stairwell and landing. Walking through the back rooms of a restaurant kitchen ...? Having the restaurant underneath however was a huge bonus as our children were tired. The next door bar was very noisy.

Having a bath towel each, even if just one each would have been good. And having usual set of other kitchen basics too.

It was very clean, instructions were clear.

The beds weren’t the most comfortable but we slept fine for our one night there. The stairs are steep— not a big deal for our family, but with luggage it was a little bit difficult. There is a ton of street noise at night.

Using WhatsApp to give details on how to collect keys and enter the apartment. Apartment is not close to train station. Beneath apartment is an Italian restaurant, good pasta and ok pizza. Great kitchen facilites, can cook. Large fridge. Microwave and kettle. Need bigger table in the bedroom with bunk bed. More hooks in the bathroom/toilet.

Expensive, Need to catch bus which is tricky if you have big luggage. Recommend travel light and small.

There’s pizza restaurant downstairs for dinner.

Uncomfortable stay in a dirty and poorly maintained place

Location

The room was old, poorly maintained, damp-smelling, and dirty. The beds were uncomfortable and there were no shower towels provided. To reach the room, you have to pass by what seems to be the kitchen and laundry area of the pizzeria downstairs — both filthy and with a terrible odor. It is shameful that such a place is being rented out at this price.

Convenient location and good value

Good location to station, easy check in and plenty of coffee pods provided. Fans provided as weather was very very warm.

Only 4 beds made up when we arrived for 5 of us. Requested for bed to be made and someone just handed us extra bedding at the door. We had booked for 5 people. Kitchen was limited on some cooking utensils.

Convenient and ok for one night

Very convenient for the station, on the edge of the old town. Very responsive to communications and very clear easy instructions to check in. We only stayed one night in transit through from France to Italy so didn’t get to enjoy it properly.

The shower head is so low I had to duck to wet my face and head The beds and pillows were not comfortable for adults but the children were fine

Location was good, easy to find and get inside

Very basic; in need of a renovation. Towels were fraying and smelled mouldy. Street is incredibly loud and we were woken up all night with the noise.

Chur is a lovely city to visit

Location was good, not far from the train station

We were 5 adults. 4 people would have been more comfortable. Only had 4 coffee cups, 4 cereal bowls. Sofa bed didn't work as a bed, and not that comfortable to sit on.

The location was very good and convenient to travel in Chur. We could walk to every where. Restaurants are around the place. Parking is right in front of the place (with fee). Rooms are enough for 5 of us.

The entrance is sharing with restaurant kitchen. Look a bit scary for my children. Dinning area is a bit too small for us. Sofa in the living room is not that convenient.

Terrible night sleep

Well spaced flat within reasonable distance from the station

We only needed this flat for a single night to sleep and shower before catching our train in the morning, but it failed to meet even the most basic expectations: • The beds were extremely uncomfortable and squeaky, particularly the bunk beds, making it impossible to get any rest. • The noise from the busy streets and nearby restaurant was incessant and disruptive. • Light streamed through the flimsy, poorly-fitted curtains, offering no privacy or darkness. • The towels were in an unacceptable state—old, worn, and appeared dirty. • The black bed linen raised serious doubts about cleanliness and hygiene standards. Overall, this was a terrible experience, especially given the exorbitant price (even by London standards). It felt like a complete rip-off and a case of daylight robbery.

Great location, close to Old Town and train station. Comfortable beds, good kitchen. Hosts respond quickly. Check in and check out times were generous. The apartment has the potential to be great.

Unfortunately, a bit more effort is required to make this apartment what it could easily be - The bathroom needs to be thoroughly cleaned of mould, decent towels provided, the dishwasher should be emptied from previous guests and enough crockery and utensils should be provided for the number of guests. The shower head is very low, so a longer hose and higher fitting would help a lot. These are all easy fixes, so hopefully future guests have a better experience. Note: The apartment is on a main road so can be noisy from the traffic if you're not used to this.

Communication was clear and self check-in was good. WiFi worked well. The apartment is comfortable and large enough for 4 people. Well-equipped kitchen, and Mamma Mia restaurant downstairs has yummy food. Great location!

Some of the beds are squeaky. Lounge seating is old/worn/broken. Expect some street noise.

The location is perfect. It's a short walk from the train station in the old town area. The flat is quite large and comfortable. It's not as fancy as others we have stayed in, but we have no complaints

Great apartment - perfect location for Bernina Express

Excellent apartment, well equipped, friendly hosts. Spotlessly clean. Comfortable beds. Pizzeria below. Car parking for our large car was found in a multi-storey 5 mins away. Perfect location for our trip on the Bernina Express train.

We stayed mid week and it was noisy outside because of the main road, but no noise was heard from the restaurant even though it was busy. so I suppose that was a negative for us, but if you come from a city, I'm sure it wouldn't bother you.

Spotless property

Very clean property. The kitchen had an expresso coffee machine....bonus for everyone. It was easy to find. I had booked this property for our guests coming from Italy and they are able to access the property easily. Definitely this is a place we are going to use again.

We had a great time here! The accommodation is quite large and comfortable. There are many beds. The kitchen is well-equipped. The check-in process was easy and smooth. Great location, close to the city centre and the central station :) Highly recommended for families or groups of friends.

We only stayed one night for catching the Bernina Express in the morning. We haven't noticed anything we haven't liked during our stay. We would've liked to have access to Netflix or another streaming service.

Overnight stay at Chur - March 2023

Place is a short walk (7-8 min) from the Chur Train Station. We made it to the property and proceeded to get our keys from the lockbox from info sent prior. Property was clean and very spacious. Kitchen had coffee.

A little more communication from the host would have been nice. We had a couple of immediate questions but we sorted those out by ourselves. The whole apartment did not have a mirror except in the bathroom, so a little difficult. Had to open windows since the apartment was very warm. A bit noisy until 11:00 pm since it is roadside, but after that it was quiet.
