Nice, quiet place in the turmoil of Colombo. And the possibility to eat a delicious breakfast in the cozy cafe downstairs.

Our airconditioning wasn’t working well, but the staff tried hard to improve that.

Very cosy and beautiful accommodation, the downstairs cafe was great! Delicious food and drinks for a good price and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating!

The fact we only stayed one night when we would have loved to stay longer!

It's a nice place with a cafe downstairs. it would be nice to have a kettle in the room as going downstairs for a cup of tea every time is inconvenient.

We had a terrible experience on the first night when we got home after dinner and the place was locked. We called the number suggested several times - no response. I had to revisit the email we received several times to actually see that the code to the lock was in the email. This needs to be set out in the email much clearer and further there needs to be much better communication upon arrival what to expect with regards to the place being locked at night and access after hours. It was a very stressful experience for us. No-one checked in with us the day after either.

This is a quiet guest house relatively close none-the-less to city centre, tucked away down a dead-end side street and sitting above a popular cafe. The room was sizeable but more tired looking and basic than the photos implied - and that was disappointing. The manager was very friendly, helpful and efficient. We were very quickly checked in and he checked our ordered car was on time for taking us to the airport and that we arrived safely, despite it being past midnight! The downstairs cafe is great for breakfast and probably lunch (didn't have the latter here) though the service was a little slow. The enclosed outdoor garden is nice, a pleasant and green, bird-song filled oasis in a busy city-scape beyond the walls! Shower was high-pressure and super-hot. Wi-fi connection was good - when it worked. Like most places in SL, evening-time seems to be biggest drain on wi-fi reliability, and here was no exception.

As indicated above, this place did not meet our expectations based on the marketing photos. It felt a little tired. Holes in the bed sheets, tired paint work, thin basic room doors, minimal decor. The description on Booking.com implied there was various facilities exclusive to the room, but in fact they were instead in a shared cupboard on the landing. An incessant on-off thrumming water pump going 24-7 was also bothersome to get used to when trying to sleep. I mentioned it to the manager but he didn't seem to know what it was. No mosquito nets on the bed (nor in other rooms from what I could see). They fumigated the cafe at least once in our stay.
