Wonderful cozy winter wonderland

Beautiful interior, nice rooms, staff is wonderful and helpful, and the mountain is at your fingertips.

Some small things - - as a vegan, the hotel tried to make some wonderful dishes for me, but I found them pretty bland and very vegetable forward. Again very creative and inventive, but some pasta would have been a great add! - for such an expensive hotel it would be great if some things were complimentary, such a tea. I couldn’t get a tea without spending 8€ - and the rooms are not equipped to make your own tea.

Superb

Fantastic location, direct access to the slopes/lifts, true ski in-ski out, and within village, beautiful mountain views, quiet location. Wonderful pool/spa with superb treatments. Great varied breakfast and evening meals, and wonderful friendly attentive staff. Hotel owner obviously very hands on and a visible presence. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Hotel Heaven in Obergurgl

Service was absolutely top notch! Effective, speedy, and always with a smile no matter the time of day or night… Everyone was extra kind to the children too. Highly recommend for families with young kids… Loved the proximity to the learning piste (ski in-out) and the relaxation area (spa, sauna, pools, etc). Breakfast always a divine spread! Dinner exquisite. Thank you Team HochFirst! such a memorable special stay indeed

Sadly, lunch meal preparation can be a bit slow. the ski room could also use a bit of sprucing up — fairly tired.

nice hotel amazing staff, very nice location but it's very pricy for what it is they charge even for tap water or toothbrush we didn't have so we asked hotel it was 5€! somethings are overly priced

all facilities were lovely only the jacuzzi temperature is not hot probably kept under 35° and tiny teeny gym doesn't even have dumbbells!

An amazing Gem in the middle of a great ski area.

The quality of the hotel and facilities are exactly what a 5star hotel should have. The staff were great and the connection with the ski centre mean skis were dropped to the hotel and collected. The knowledge of the sommelier Oliver was exceptional. I have never seen such an incredible selection of fine wines at a hotel before. Impressive.

It was a little hot in the room but the staff turned this down for us as soon as we asked. I am sure for some the heat in winter would have been perfect.

Exceptional

Loved the staff our waiter Lazlo (may have spealt it incorrectly) but may have spealt it incorrectly, his attention to detail was second to none and he was ab absolute delight we compared his service to the orient express and actually said he was better. You should be proud to have someone like that on your team and we missed him on his night off and Felix in the bar were a delight, but so was the bar manager and Oli with his incredible wine knowledge, we stay in wonderful hotels all over the world and have booked here again in March which is rare for us.

No coffee machine in the room nor iron. However a wonderful man in reception bought us up coffees at 6.30am when we did some work sometimes super early before ski. Our own machine would have been a nice touch and saved us calling room service

Perfect location, good food and solid service

Location and the service at the Reataurant. Good food, and a very personable touch and careful service by Thomas above all. Personnel is very friendly and professional. Overall a good experience.

Overall it’s good. Somethings that could improve: Rooms furniture could be better. Mini bar is poorly appointed. And there is no coffee machine nor water boiler in the room.. at the price and with 5 stars, that’s a bit underwhelming. Bar could be a bit more inviting. And common areas (spa) is good- but somehow it isn’t well prepare to accommodate guests changing/showering after a ski day once they had checked out. The staff is very courteous and will find a solution. But again, at 5 starts, the infrastructure could be better. Heating in the rooms is a bit uncomfortable as one can not moderate the temperature.. manageable though.

Im Spa Bereich und Restaurant W-LAN Blocker eingebaut damit man nicht am Handy ist. Aufgrund der Lage gibt es aber einen schwachen bis gar keinen Empfang! Damit man sich dieses Hotel leisten kann muss man in Österreich viel arbeiten, bzw. wenn man selbständig ist und Kinder hat kann man nicht einfach nicht zu erreichen sein. Wie soll ma sich zwischen den Saunagängen beschäftigen ohne Handy, Bücher oder Zeitschriften. Bei Frühstück keine Zeitschriften Auswahl nur gegen Vorbestellung und Zusatz Kosten zu erhalten. Am Sonntag keine Zeitschrift für Gäste nur für die Hotelbesitzer.
