Bed was very comfortable.
It was cheap, you get what you pay for.
Landlady, Sophia is very nice, always happy.
It's a nice location, very close to the harbour, bars and restaurants.
Poor maintenance, broken toilet seat, a bent nail to fasten the bathroom door, etc.
Very noisy stairs.
It's a very old building and needs some modernisation.

One night in a Venetian Palace was everything I expected and more. The apartment was more than adequate with a fridge the same as I have at home which was great for cooling my water and Coke for the day ahead. I arrived in the middle of the storms; the view from the bedroom window of the harbour was sublime.
There was not any coffee or tea available although there was a kettle. I didn't like the "Palestinian" graffiti outside the window but that isn't the hosts fault. Generally too much graffiti in Crete anyway!

The location is excellent, just a short walk from the Venetian Harbour and surrounded by lovely cafés, restaurants, and shops.
The room was clean and had a beautiful sea view from the window.
Sofia is a very friendly and welcoming.

We had mentioned that we will arrive at 10pm and it had said we can arrive even until midnight :
However - nobody was at the reception when we came at 10 pm and when we rang many times nobody had answered the phone - after an hour we received a call back and were able to get in - but we had been rather desperate for quite a while ☹️😳- afterwards it was fine :)👍
