Alacati Marina Palace

We had an excellent trip to Alacati and enjoyed our stay at the Marina Palace. Begum was the person that we dealt with the most and she was really wonderful! She was always there to help, she offered travel tips and always had a smile on her face. Such a lovely young lady! We had dinner at the hotel the first night: simple and very tasty! We had a nice view from our room. The breakfast was served outside in the grass area near the pool which was very pleasant. And plentiful! The cheerful and friendly maid cleaned up the room daily and gave us fresh towels. We had room to park our rental car every day inside their gated area. The place also feels very secure.

The tiny safe (not big enough for a fancy camera) was not available since it was closed and locked (we never bothered to get it opened). The bed is really hard and the pillows are not the best. There is only a heavy duvet to cover at night so I wished I had brought my own top sheet since it was still warm in the fall season. (I realize that hotels don't tend to offer a top sheet these days.) Breakfast is not served until 9:15; it is a bummer if you want to start your day early to explore as there was no takeaway option. The walls were quite thin and we had to knock on our wall the first night because the neighbor was obnoxiously loud and it was very late. (They thankfully left that next morning.) The location was farther away from town and various bars/restaurants then I realized, which again, is my fault. So you need a car for exploring and dinner out.
