Low value for money and quite a deception

The hotel is situated in nice surroundings although very close to the street descending from the Ofenpass. We liked the dinner and the breakfast, which are served in the pleasant dining room in the main house. Parking is easy next to the hotel.

If you don’t have the chance to be accommodated in the main building of the hotel, your room will be in an annex building just over the street with small rooms, a shared toilet and shower. For the comfort they are offering, they are absolutely overpriced and not recommendable.

Everything. The location is great. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a gorgeous view. Breakfast and dinner were nice with lots of local and seasonal products. One of the best pizzas I have ever had in Switzerland. Polite and helpful staff. We would have stayed longer if I could.

It is a very proper site, all clean, including bed room. Breakfast was wonderful and staff very friendly.

Room was really small and toilet old fashioned, over all in this years tour de Suisse this stay had the worst cost/comfort ratio. We had an ugly starting experience with the owner, making us feel not welcome at all. However, the mood/behaviour became nice and professional soon later so we do not rate this negatively and expect it to having been a one time miss-step.

Superb

Super nice staff both at the reception and the restaurant. Very accommodating to cyclist, they even hosed down our bikes before putting them in the bike room. Our room seemed recently renovated and had a really nice bathroom and comfortable bed. We had dinner at the in-house restaurant and the food was great. They source a lot of the ingredients locally and even the accompanying buns were homemade. Breakfast was also really good, again with a lot of regional produce and with very tasty freshly homemade bread. There is a small supermarket right below the hotel, which is convenient.

Gerne wieder, aber das nächste Mal etwas länger!

Die Lage am Ofenpass und am Rombach ist perfekt, der Gastgeber aufmerksam und freundlich und sowohl Nachtessen und Frühstück liess keine Wünsche offen! Wir waren mit dem Fahrrad unterwegs. Das Al Rom bietet einen gut ausgestatteten Velokeller, wo unsere Räder sicher untergebracht waren.

Das Restaurant war Spitze sehr gute Küche. Das Personal und der Chef zuvorkommend und freundlich.

Die Zimmer im Nebenhaus sind in die Jahre gekommen.
