Light house but accommodation does not shine!

Staff very welcoming, informative and good conversationalists. Super breakfast and attractive location.

Room was basic and bed needs destroying, small double with very poor mattress.

Brilliant. Probably the most atmospheric and interesting place I have ever stayed!

The situation is sublime! Walking across the causeway leads you into another world of peace and tranquility. The restaurant was very good and we enjoyed Elk and fish dishes which were beautifully prepared. The staff were very friendly and the tour of the lighthouse tour was wonderful. I can highly recommend this experience.

The bathroom could have either a chair or some hooks added for keeping clothes off the floor, which got wet as there is only a shower curtain. (Bathroom in lighthouse keeper’s quarters is shared but only with one other room, and this was never a problem.)

Very friendly staff, excellent food. Vi rented Stand up padling gear (SUP) and had a great time between the islands nearby. Saw dolphins and an otter.

A beautiful location and friendly staff.

A beautiful location and friendly staff. The room was functionally equipped and the shared bathroom had to be shared only with a few other guests. Upon request, the hostess allowed us to use the kitchen of the neighboring apartment (not rented) for a small extra charge. The guided lighthouse tour has pleased us very much.

The rate is rather high (even for Norwegian standards), but the location more than compensates for that.

Amazing location with homemade food

Amazing location just by the North Sea. The place has a restaurant with homemade food. Looks like some Nordic women are running the place. They rule!!!! Bravo.

There is nothing bad to say about this place, it is so unique, with a nature that is mindblowing. But if you are out for luxury, it is not for you. The bed was not too comfortable, and the facilites are simple. We were a couple, but we got a family room and shower and toilet was downstairs.

No blackout curtains (should be available in family room). Bed (the one on the right) was about to fall apart (shakey loose legs, almost Elvis-like). Towel rail in room almost falling from the wall, needs to be tightened.

Utrolig fin location, god mat og hyggelig atmosfære!

Ganske dyr frokost i forhold til utvalget, men den var jo god. Likte spesielt godt det hjemmebakte brødet og pannekakene! Utrolig fin plass å overnatte og veldig hyggelig personale.

Det var ganske lydt mellom rommene. Så man er litt prisgitt hvilke naboer man får.

Ein absolut außergewöhnlicher Ort! Fantastische Blicke, ein unvergleichliches Ambiente und ein supernettes Team machten diese Übernachtung zu einer, an die wir uns lange erinnern werden!

Die Zimmer sind sehr klein, aber das wussten wir vorher und an diesem Ort geht es nicht um maximalen Komfort, sondern darum in historischem Ambiente übernachten zu dürfen.

Ein außergewöhnlicher Ort

Die Unterkunft liegt einsam am Ende eines Weges und ist selbst nur zu Fuß über einen langen Steg erreichbar. Die Lage ist traumhaft schön neben einem Leuchtturm. Bei unserem Aufenthalt haben wir sogar Nordlichter gesehen. Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir haben abends im Restaurant gegessen und auch das Frühstück haben wir dazu gebucht. Beides war sehr lecker und vollkommen ausreichend.

Die Unterkunft selbst ist sehr abgewohnt und auch etwas schmuddelig. Möbel sehr durchgesessen und teilweise defekt. Das Bett hingegen war sehr bequem.

Enestående lokasjon, personlig service og naturopplevelser.

Beliggenheten til Tranøy fyr tar pusten fra deg, Lofoten på ene siden og Steigen på den andre gir et magisk skue. Du bor i takt med naturen og fuglelivet på fyret. Nydelig morgenbad og vanvittig hyggelig personale.

Exceptionnel

L’emplacement et les infrastructures sont exceptionnels. On a apprécié le dépaysement et le coucher de soleil à 23 heures sur les les Lofoten. Les logements sont rustiques mais suffisants, confortables et tellement atypiques.Le personnel est charmant et familial, il faut accepter de patienter au rush du restaurant qui fait également réception.

Tranøy fyr er en flott plass. Har vært der mange ganger. Skulle bruke terrenget i Hamarøy samtidig. Nydelig middag i restauranten- kvalgryte

En avkopplande vistelse på en vacker och unik plats.

Området med fyren är väldigt vackert och rofyllt. Det är verkligen en speciell miljö att bo i.

Det kändes inte som att det fanns någon ventilation i rummet. Om fönstret inte hölls öppet så blev det väldigt dålig luft men nackdelen var att det drog kallt under natten. Vi köpte till frukost som var helt okej men inte helt prisvärd då den var väldigt enkel. Hade önskat möjlighet att ordna med egen matlagning då restaurangutbudet i närheten var begränsat. Men som jag förstått det så kunde man inte boka rum med kök om man hade hunden med sig.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am europäischen Nordmeer auf einer Insel mit einem Leuchtturm. Das Zimmer war für uns gerade richtig in Größe und Ausstattung - es mangelte an nichts. Das Fühstücksbuffet war sehr reichlich und man konnte sich nicht entscheiden was man essen soll. Das schönste war die Mitternachtssonne direkt vor Fenster - Gänsehaut - sehr zu empfehlen
