    Comfortable stay in old school hotel in lovely village. Clean throughout. Fridge provided but would have liked a kettle.

    The Astoria's rooms are clean and basic. The furnishings won't wow you but the bed is comfortable and the shower is nice and hot. I slept well after a day on the slopes. The location is conveniently located with easy access to Klinovec ski resort (3km). The self-serve breakfast had just enough options for a hearty start to the day but don't expect made-to-order items. The one let down would be the demeanor and service level of the staff especially at the reception. They struggled both in English and to find a hospitable tone. It should be an easy fix by professional management but I would manage your expectations just the same.
