Started great and ended awkward
Great location close to the beach. Dishoek is very beautiful and quieter than some of the other seaside towns.
The additional price for dogs isn't mentioned on Booking and we ended up paying much more rhan expected.

The place to return
We loved our stay in Duinlust. The location is amazing - only 3 min and you are by the beach or on the dune and you can start your hike. Breakfast is generous and our doggie was allowed to join us (except for the breakfast room) - we had the table set in the lunch/dinner area, which was really great! We tried dinner as well and both fish meals were amazing.
During the first day, we had a problem with hot water, but the staff acted quickly and when they couldn't repair it, they offered us another (bigger) room.

Pleasant hotel within easy reach of the beach.
The Hotel is close to the beach up a reasonably steep hill. The room was pleasant and the bathroom had a very good shower room in it.
The staircase up to our room was steep and unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues.

A memorable weekend with visiting family was a great success using the hotel as our base.
Charming location behind the dunes with easy access to the beach and many walks. Service was great and staff were really helpful catering for large party of 9 over two nights. Food was high quality and excellent breakfast very generous. Short walk to free parking.
