Cozy hotel with friendly staff and nice breakfast

The breakfast is nice, very good omelette, but if you need something, you need to ask for it. I think it's good that food doesn't go to waste - owners are careful with this, it seems. The room has free water and the pomp, which is VERY helpful and nice of the hosts, thanks for that! Really appreciated. I needed to drink 4 liters per day and there's no way I could supply all this water myself. Martin (the host) is very friendly and nice, in the beginning we had a lot of questions and some things didn't work out (the pomp's battery dead for example), Martin helped with all our issues quickly, and the rest of the staff is also very friendly, please don't hesitate to approach with any questions or issues! The rooms are spacious and the airco works fine.

The pillows are not very comfortable and the mattress is a little too firm to my taste. There is an unobvious connection between working airco and having hot water in the shower. I don't mind that at all, but we were not told about it upon arrival, so the first night we had just cold water in the shower and no idea how to fix it, it was quite bad considering rains outside. Another thing - the remote controls for the aircos are very hard to operate as it's hard to see what's on the screen. They are probably very old, or just not fresh batteries. But every time I need to change the airco, I had to flash light the screen to see anything at all. If you're traveling for low season, please bring or buy mosquito chemicals - there's a ton of mosquitoes if the weather is rainy.

Exceptional

Nicest host ever! The weather was bad on our first day and Martin made sure we still enjoyed it. Felt like home and loved our stay there:) The food at the restaurant is great and the staff is extremely lovely, the beach is beautiful and the room had all we needed. All in all we couldn’t be happier with our choice to stay at Diamond Sand Palace. Can’t wait to come back in high season as we promised!

Great location and wonderful host!

The central location is ideal as a base for touring the island. The bungalows and restaurant are situated on the sands of the Andaman Sea. You’re sleeping ten seconds away from the warm waves! The room had everything I needed for my stay, fridge, hot water boiler, large bed, lots of surface area to spread your stuff out and a hot shower. The restaurant attached to the Diamond Sands, The Black Corral, had a selection of Thai, Western and Swedish dishes. All of the dishes were prepared with fresh ingredients and were delicious. There are also a lot of good restaurants close by (try the Greek Taverna a little bit to the south on the main road). The staff was always there and always able to provide for whatever needs came up. Martin, the owner was especially helpful in arranging anything. He arranged the transportation from Krabi airport and had very good for recommendations for restaurants, beaches, tours, etc. He was able get a very good deal on scooter rental for my stay. All in all my trip would not have been so great without Martin’s assistance!

Hidden Gem

Relaxing atmosphere, beautiful location straight on the beach. We loved Black Coral restaurant with delicous dishes. Our host Martin and his wife took such a good care of us. The staff was professional and very well orientated. People came from other hotels night after night to have dinner at Black Coral restaurant. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back at Diamond Sand Palace.

Great place to stay!!!

Very friendly welcome. Staff were so helpful and the owner came and introduced himself, which was a nice touch. The room was very clean and the aircon is very good. The restaurant is literally on the beach and the service was excellent. I'm coming again to koh lanta in 4 months and this will be the first place I'll look at. Hopefully they'll have room.😁😁😁

Entspannte Unterkunft zum ankommen in quasi schwedischer Community

Sehr leicht zu finden und direkt am Strand. Morgens vom Frühstück schaut man direkt aufs Meer. Auf Nachfrage gab es auch ein Moskitonetz fürs Bett. Nettes Personal. Durch den schwedischen Besitzer und die große schwedische Community gibt es auch mal Knäckebrot und Zimtschnecken zum Frühstück. Gutes WLAN, sehr ruhig abends/nachts. Genug Flächen als Stauraum und Ablagen. Schön viele verschiedene Lampen und mal nicht nur so grellend weißes Licht wie sonst oft in Thailand.

Moskitogitter an den Fenstern müssten repariert werden. Hatten jeden Tag Moskitos im Bad/Zimmer. Kein Haartrockner offenbar vorhanden. Wasserdruck bei der Dusche quasi nicht existent. Frühstück jeden Tag das gleiche, da war ich dann gelegentlich woanders frühstücken für die Abwechslung. Hier gab es nicht jeden Tag neue Flaschen Wasser, was sonst bislang überall anders so üblich war. Recht dunkel, da nur kleines Fenster, das in unserem Fall auch noch nach Norden ausgerichtet war.

В целом, отдых прошёл замечательно каждый нашёл себе интересное занятие (пляж, снорклинг, массаж...)

Замечательный отель прямо на отличном чистом пляже. Всё необходимое рядом (кафе, магазины, аптеки и т.д.). В домиках чисто и уютно, есть всё необходимое (правда, кроме фена, но нам он не понадобился ни разу). На окнах москитные сетки, а когда появилось много комаров на улице (три дня были дожди), хозяева обработали территорию окуриванием, из-за чего их стало значительно меньше. Завтраки относительно скромные, но голодным никто не оставался, так как всё необходимое на завтраках было. Отель оснащён уникальным и исключительно безопасным в использовании оборудованием для подогрева воды в душе. Она подогревается в результате работы кондиционера. Персонал вежливый и дружелюбный. Отдельно хочу поблагодарить хозяев отеля, и особенно Мартина, который всегда терпеливо нас выслушивал и помогал абсолютно по всем нашим запросам.

Bien pero se puede mejorar

Es la segunda vez que volvemos con la familia,la posición es perfecta,puedes desayunar casi en la playa. Volvimos porque la playa es la mejor. El dueño disponible,los masajes son muy buenos.

Bungalows necesitan ser resultados,un poco sucios y con problemas en la ducha. La limpieza no cambia las toallas solo pasa la cepillo por el suelo. El desayuno poco vario y la calidad un poco baja. El personal en el bar poco simpático. Volvimos porque la ubicación es perfecta, pero necesita una reforma.
