The rooms were large and decorated beautifully and the location was perfect. Great breakfast and lovely hosts.

Everything was perfect.

I was visiting family in Carcassonne. This is the third hotel I have stayed at in Carcassonne and this was by far the best. The lady proprietor is very nice and made sure everything was perfect for our stay. It is a very short walk from the train station. We did take a taxie because we didn't know for sure where the hotel was and we had heavy suitcases, so a taxi was a better option. The next time I stay there we will just walk from the train station. The security was very good. The room was very clean and comfortable with a window looking out over the courtyard. The breakfast room is in another building and that was no problem for us. She made speciality coffee for my friend each morning with two mouth watering croissants. A little refrigerator contained Yogurt, meat and cheeses. There was a large screen TV in our room with Netflix in English which was a bonus for us. It is very close to the small town square where there are plenty of restaurants and shops. The visitor center is not far away. It's a nice walk to Gambetta park and keep going and you end up going over an ancient bridge to the old walled city. My only warning is if you have problems going up stairs this might not be the hotel for you. The rooms are on an upper floor and, because of the age of the building, there is no elevator. When we arrived the lady proprietor offered to take our bags up for us, but it wasn't necessary. Also going up the stairs to the breakfast room also might be a problem since there are no hand rails. It was no problem for us but it would have been had I been traveling with an older family member. I looked at it as a good cardio workout walking to/from our room.....and an incentive not to forget anything when we left our room. If you don't have problems with stairs, this is the place for you. You won't be disappointed.

Lovely old building in a great location. Our room was large and very comfortable and huge bathroom as well. Breakfast was included and delicious!

They use a mattress protector as a sheet which i was not a fan of. I also hope they try to retain the character of the property …

I loved the kind attitude of the host, as well as the smooth communication.

Personally I would like to have slightly bigger choice in the menu for breakfast.
