Traditional Japanese house with Tatami, furniture and decoration with modern kitchen and toilet facilities. They said it had been a place for tea ceremony, so really a good place to feel the Japanese culture.
Good restaurants and nice temples nearby, basically I didn’t travel to city centre.
Loud cicada noise in the summer and so happened someone cut the trees next to property in the morning, but not the problem of property.

It was a great place, great host. Everything was great. Definately recommend it!! 10/10. If I’m coming back to Kyoto ever again, I’m staying here. Quiet area, authentic Japanese house, warm and friendly host

The staff were very accommodating and provided us with everything we could need! We really appreciate them providing us with their favorite recommendations via google maps and an in depth guide to the house offerings. Everything was clean, the beds were so cozy, and they even stocked the fridge for us! The villa is beautiful and we all agreed we wished we could stay longer
