HT Residence Maximus

The bed was comfortable and the location is amazing. You are right in the middle of all of the big sight seeing locations. Everything is 1.5 miles or less from this apartment, so walking everywhere was very doable. They actually moved us to this location which worked out well. The staff were helpful and made the move easy so that it wasn’t stressful.

Finding the office was difficult. Maybe in the instructions it would be helpful to say it is the orange building and that the entrance door is on the main road. Google Maps took us all over the place and we ended up having to get help from a local to find the entrance.

The room had two floors. We had to climb the wooden steps to access the bed. There were huge windows in the ground floor. The AC worked well.

The reception desk is two lanes away from the actual accommodation. We had to walk a few meters with our luggage. Early check-in was not allowed. We couldn't access common washroom.

Location was perfect, very close to Colloseum. Everything inside was clean and comfortable, with kitchen and private bathroom.

We stayed at this hotel in Rome, and the location was absolutely unbeatable – right next to the Colosseum. We had a two-level room, with the bed and a large TV upstairs, and the toilet and shower downstairs.

The WiFi was a bit glitchy at first but worked fine after a while – we were even able to stream movies on the TV. On the downside, the hot water pressure was weak, and the showerhead was fixed to the ceiling, which made rinsing off a bit more time-consuming than usual. Despite the central location, the room itself was very quiet. The only noise issue was some nighttime roadwork outside the Colosseum, but that’s obviously not the hotel’s fault. The air conditioning didn’t work – only the fan. However, this might be because it’s not very hot outside yet. We found it worked well to just open the windows and air out the heat when we came back in the evenings. Overall, a mixed experience – fantastic location and quiet room, but some maintenance issues with the bathroom and A/C.
