Nice family-oriented hotel among the dunes

The staff are very kind and welcoming. Rooms are very spacious. Kids facilities (internal + massive external playground) are a big plus. The location is very quiet and super covenient, in the middle of the dunes and 10 minutes walking from the beach and 20 minutes from Nieuwport. À la carte restaurant is good quality but a bit expensive - self-service restaurant is more affordable. Nice breakfast, with a lot of choice and good value for money. Tennis court.

Rooms are a bit basic (no fridge, no hairdryer, offer very basic amenities (1 product for everything) and could be cleaner. The self-service restaurant is very convenient and good value for money, but the offer for children is rather limited (and mostly fried food), which is a pity considering how much attention they paid to building a kids-friendly place. Limited parking spaces (apparently fewer than the capacity of the place).

We ate in the hotel restaurant in the evening and were very happy with the range of dishes to choose from and the quality of our meals.

We were asked to clean the room after our stay and to purchase a cleaning pack from reception, as we did not have any cleaning products with us. This requirement was not communicated to us at the time of booking. Coming from the UK, where such practices are unheard of, we were very surprised. Not a single vegetable was provided at breakfast.

I requested for late check out for 1 hr and wasn’t agreed. I was disappointed with that. That way I couldn’t have stayed at the room with family until lunch.

Lovely and comfortable restaurant with good food. Free parking, a great starting point for hikes into the dunes.

While basic necessities were good, the low light and spartan arrangement made the room a bit gloomy. Also the window leaked when it rained and it was rather cold in the room. The heater could not be turned on.

We thought we had booked a 4-person appartment. We ended up in a room with 2 regular beds and 2 bunk-beds. There we no facilities for doing own cooking, or even making own coffee or tea.

Staff were very very friendly and helpful. The location waw really great, just 10 minutes walking from the beach and calm. The parking is really easy for the guests.

Mooie locatie, en best dichtbij de dijk - het strand. We aten in de self-service (ontbijt en avond), dit was in orde. Mooie kamers.

Geen terrasje/balkonnetje bij de kamer. Al is dit in de winter geen must.

Voortreffelijk verblijf

Alles, geen negatieve opmerkingen. Heel vriendelijk personeel. Heel lekker en overvloedig ontbijt. 's Avonds á la carte gegeten en dat was voortreffelijk. Het gemak van je niet meer te hoeven verplaatsen om te gaan eten, was heel gemakkelijk. Zeker voor wie graag een wijntje drinkt bij het eten. Omdat er werken waren in een deel van het hotel, hebben we een upgrade gehad naar een appartement. Heel aangenaam verrast door de mooie, smaakvol ingerichte en praktische appartementen. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Voor herhaling vatbaar

Op weekend om rust te vinden en te ontspannen. De locatie was niet ver van het strand, de winkelstraat en wat verder was er ook een mini golf aanwezig. Buiten seizoen was het rustig en kon ik goed ontspannen. Ook het matras was goed, de badkamer was aangenaam. Voor herhaling vatbaar.

Ontbijt was super lekker, heel veel keuze en vriendelijke kok.

Het enige minpuntje was dat het niet zo warm was in de kamer als we incheckten. We hebben zelf de verwarming wat hoger gezet en na een paar uurtjes was dit in orde.

Calme, propreté, confort

L'appartement était très propre , bien chauffé, à la fois sobre et coquet ,bien conçu. Il y avait une salle de douche , une salle de bain avec une toilette plus une autre toilette. Nous étions deux, donc nous avions beaucoup d'espace mais peut réellement convenir à 4, voir 6 personnes. Nous étions hors saison , en semaine, donc hôtel quasi vide , très silencieux et c'était un plus pour nous. Le restaurant était fermé et j 'ai apprécié que la réception me téléphone pour m'en prévenir lorsque j 'ai fait la réservavtion par booking. Nous avons utilisé la kitchinette , le matériel est bien pensé, minimal mais suffisant pour une cuisine sans recherche. Grande TV neuve avec plusieurs chaînes (en français aussi) , ce n'était pas indispensable pour nous, mais ça peut être utile. Pas en bord de mer, mais presque dans les dunes et digue et mer proche et facile d'accès à pieds. Parking OK.

Un petit livret explicatif qui reprend le fonctionnement du bâtiment : code wifi, horaires fermetures des portes, activités possibles sur place et dans les environs proches... Peut-être existe-il , je ne l'ai pas vu...
